Visited as part of a large family get together. Lovely country pub. I suspect it is me being a bit of a towny, but there wasn't much of a wine menu, but otherwise the bar was well stocked. Hearty food cooked well. Catered well for children. Stayed in the annex rooms, which were very good. One of the children's bed...

visited early evening in the week. bar area was small but well decorated. Went straight through to restaurant to find only one other table seated. Normally that's not a good sign but in this case it wasn't so. The food was excellent homely cooked food at great prices and there was plenty of choice. We went mad and had a...

We stayed here for a night whilst attending a wedding at the nearby Goldstone Hall. We were supposed to be staying somewhere else but were let down at the last minute and luckily got a room here instead. Great customer service with friendly staff. Upon arrival we were shown to our room which was in the purpose built accommodation block....

I've been to The Castle quite a few times now, the latest with my two brothers. I have aways received a good welcome and pleasant service, I have never been disappointed with the food, and is good value for money.

We used the Castle inn for a two night stay so we could attend a wedding in the near by Market Drayton and was very impressed. Staff was very helpful even after arriving very late after a hold up on the Motorway. The room was very clean and everything worked as expected. Full England Breakfast was off a good standard...

Called in for a meal on a late Sunday afternoon. Went into the restaurant which is quite dated and a little bland. Very quiet in there with no music which was strange as there initially was only another couple in there so you have the urge to whisper. We were presented with menus and a specials board which had a...

I visited The Castle last Thursday evenings with friends and had a very enjoyable meal in pleasant surroundings. The menu is varied and caters for all tastes and the meals are reasonably priced. Definitely recommended!

Went for an early Sunday 5:30 pm lunch (we have two young children), both children had child portions Sunday roast beef. Hubby, Nan and grandad had the roast beef or lamb, I had the cheese and potatoe pie with all the veggies. The food was absolutely delicious, so much veg was bought to the table - cauliflower cheese, carrots, peas,...

This review is a little late in coming but this place is certainly worthy of a few lines. We stayed at the Castle in whilst attending a wedding at a nearby venue in May 2015 The Castle Inn is easily found on the main A41. There is the main pub then the accomodation block is a motel style building situated...
