This is a difficult review for me to write since all of my previous TripAdvisor reviews have steered fellow travelers to great places. Our experience at this establishment was quite the opposite. First the good: the bed was comfortable, the towels were thick and soft, there was plenty of hot water, and the housekeeper was kind and did a great...

Beautiful location, old building but with a mixture of different styles???...or no style at all is more accurate. We arrived at 1 pm but a note said it would open at 3 pm, not much of a welcome on Good Friday. Must carry around a huge key because at 8 pm the staff leaves the building. Had a problem with...

Pros: You are in the middle of Eguisheim; wake up early and walk the town with the locals walking their dogs. Everything to be seen is in easy walking distance. Evidently, owned and operated by a husband and wife team, he was super friendly and accommodating. Hostellerie was wonderful; the room was super clean. Offered bacon, sausage, and min-crepes for...

We spent 4 nights at the Hostellerie, and it couldn't have been better! The kindness and friendly couple who operate the hotel was exceptional, our room was comfortable and clean, breakfast each morning was a delight, and their helpful advice on where to go and what to see was spot on. The town itself is incredible and well deserving of...

We stayed in this fabulous hotel for a week and felt as if we left as great friends with owners Melinda and Philippe. They work very hard to make your visit relaxing and enjoyable. The room had a wonderful view over the fountain in the center of this magnificent village. We requested ahead of time their parking spot and it...

We stayed here for one night in early October and could not have been any happier with the accommodations in this lovely picturesque village. Located adjacent to the town square Hostellerie du Chateau is located close to everything in Eguisheim. The hotel was clean, comfortable, charming, updated, and owned operated by a wonderfully kind and accommodating couple. The breakfast offered...

Eguisheim has been on my bucket list since reading about it in a travel review years ago. The hotel is beautiful from the exterior, and is an integral part of the half-timbered medieval buildings in the town's square. The couple who run this hotel are sweet, kind, and welcoming--- which is not always the case if you don't speak French...

Our stay was a tale of two halves: On the one hand, the room we had was lovely with a nice view looking over the town square adjacent to the church. The room was not the largest but perfectly fine and had a tiny sitting room where we watched the nesting storks on top of the church spire. That part...

We stayed here four nights, and enjoyed our visit in the entire area. The inn is well appointed, and the hosts very gracious. The breakfast each morning was well prepared and was enjoyable. We enjoyed walking into the nearby vineyards and hills. Very scenic countryside as well as the chateaus in the hills. Rooms were well appointed. My only caution...
