Good position with just a short walk into town and very clean, but small bedrooms with fittings as though they were installed to be bumped into. I had to duck every time that I passed the wall mounted tv and a rail in the bathroom that my partner hurt her head on whilst going into the bathroom from the bedroom. The staff were okay but not too friendly and breakfast was very average. Glad we were only there one night and I wouldn't return.
Very very small rooms. No bar or restaurant Staff not very helpful. Would not come back Quite a walk from the beech and restaurants. Hotel building very nice but that’s where it stops It does have a pool. If you want a coffee it costs one euro out of a Machine This place could be good. Create a cosy restaurant. Serve good wine. Get happy staff
The building has great history and is very attractive, however the rooms are characterless and small. The twin beds are narrower than other hotels we have stayed in, which made it difficult to sleep. The bedding is very clean and two pillows are provided per bed. Good blackout shutters. Good location within easy walking distance of the beach. The town and beach area are beautiful and well worth spending a day. The hotel pool is open in Summer from 9am until 8.30pm. We could not access the wifi as the system they use was not compatible with our security settings.
We stayed at Le Dauphin in September 2018 and were reasonably satisfied with our stay so decided to stay there again in June 2019. This time we were not so satisfied. We were given a smaller bedroom which, considering we were paying for our dog to stay in the room, we found unacceptably small; hardly room to place the dog's bed on the floor. Also, there is no guarantee there will be room to park your car within the hotel's grounds, the alternative being to park on the street outside. These two factors alone mean we will be looking for an alternative place to stay in the Bordeaux area when we are next travelling between the UK and Spain.
room very good although the to get to it is like walking a maze. Room very good bed comfortable. Bathroom very good...But the breakfast was great...I could have eaten much more but had to save space for more oysters and sea food.
