You cant fault this hotel on its location, just 10 yards from the beach. We chose one of the cheaper garden view rooms, as we don't spend that long in the room and if we wanted to see the sea we would go to the beach or the sit by the pool, as it turned out at the end of August the rooms at the front didn't seem to get any sunshine. Didn't have breakfast as it seemed expensive, but did hire a mini bar to keep drinks cold, and provide milk for breakfast with cereal from Monoprix, much cheaper.
Loved the location of this hotel, and the view from the room. Room itself was very nice if fairly basic. Bathroom large and spotlessly clean. I only had breakfast one day as was overpriced for what it was. Staff in general very friendly apart from on check out my bill was miscalculated as someone had ordered drinks on our room. The mistake was on their part but I received no apology and was made to feel a nuisance when collecting my refund. Overall go for the view if nothing else!
We arrived early, left the car in the free car park- a bonus in this town, however when we returned from lunch after 3pm the rooms were still not ready, my elderly father was in need of a rest,no apologies were made, the day time receptionist could benefit from learning to smile! The seaview rooms however lived up to expectations, amazing views lgie
As other reviews state, this hotel is overpriced and relies heavily on its beachfront location. It has free parking and a decent swimming pool with sun loungers. If we'd paid half the price of our last-minute, peak season price of almost 200€, we'd have been happy with the hotel, but we felt we'd been ripped off for the standard we received for 200€ without so much as a free croissant for breakfast. Hotel was very old fashioned and out dated - something they could make a theme out of with a few tweaks here and there. The bathroom had a cute old pink bath in it - but to wash you had to sit in the bath and use the shower head by hand, which was annoying when washing long hair. Good location, but stupidly overpriced.
The Arc hotel has nothing going for it except its perfect location. The beautiful view from the room makes you forget that the room is drab, far from spotless, that the tub has no protection when you shower, that everything looks quite dated, that breakfast is meagre. But the moment you open the curtains and step out into the small terrace, you feel as close to the sea and the beach as you could possibly get. Would I go back? Certainly not... location is, after all, not everything
