When we arrived we were greeted by the owner Olivier who kindly offered us the choice of two rooms, we were shown both and chose Alexandra which was located on the first floor an adjoining building. Olivier then explained a lot about the area pointing out where to go and what to see. The room was a good size with...

If only we could have stayed longer than 2 nights. We received a very warm and personal welcome. The hotel is in a beautiful and tranquil countryside location. Ideal for walking and cycling. Our bedroom and bathroom were spacious, very comfortable and to an extremely high standard. The food at the hotel is delicious. We enjoyed both breakfast and the...

If only we could have stayed longer!! Our one night experience could not have been better from the very friendly and helpful welcome, to the personalised breakfast quality and service the very next morning. A most beautiful and ideal country setting three minutes out of Brantome. Our rooms (including the bathroom) were spacious and most comfortable. If not for a...

What a beautiful place and what wonderful personal attention from the owners. I was sorry we couldn't stay longer. The food was excellent although we found the wine a little pricey. Can't recommend this place highly enough. Make sure you stay more than one night. Brantome is delightful and not particularly busy even in the height of the season unlike...

Family run, the food was delicious, breakfast is served to you, NO BUFFET thank goodness. Fruit, crepes, yogurt, pastries, eggs and...

This fabulous hotel, situated on the river just outside Brantome is a real find. Several generations of the family play a part in making guests feel special (even the young son serving the breakfast crepes) and every detail is thought of to make your stay enjoyable. Rooms are spacious and beautifully decorated with luxurious bathrooms and the river and parkland...

One could not wish for more beauty, hospitality, charm or class than this romantic country establishment on the outskirts of the picturesque village of Brantome, in the heart of the Dordogne. I can only hope that the family that so lovingly restored this old mill house and is running it now is still in charge in a few years when...

Our stay was to celebrate a special occasion and this hotel certainly made it so. We stayed in Amelie, a ground floor suite with a terrace facing the pool. We were welcomed as we parked our car by the charming owner. She took us on a short tour of the stunning hotel, pointing out the restaurant, two small bridges over...
