I have eaten at this river side hotel restaurant before and had a delicious meal with fantastic views, but with a changed menu this time I was most disappointed. As I don't eat meat I had the "choice" of only one option, omelette and chips! This could have been saved by a gorgeous omelette, but on this occasion it wasn't...

The slightly contradictory heading is due to the fact that we ate here twice, once at lunch and once for dinner. The lunch was vey good value and service very quick. For dinner, the food was nowhere near so good and we had to wait over an hour for our food. The restaurant is in a very good position, right...

We spent one night at this hotel and found it to be very good given the modest price of the rooms. We had a room overlooking the stunning town of Brantome, surely one of the best views in the Dordogne. The location is perfect for exploring the town on foot and the hotel restaurant by the river serves a nice...

Brantome is such a beautiful town and the River Dronne which flows through it is crystal clear, with flotillas of ducks and shoals of fish adding even more interest . The Hotel is across the street from the river but you eat on a terasse with big umbrellas for shade , absolutely overlooking the river . The location is just...

I had lunch here one Sunday when I was in the area, for a couple of days, looking to buy a house. There was no 'menu du jour' but they were advertising 'pintade' which is one of my favourite birds! The waitress was friendly and I started with a nice starter of foie gras with a beautiful marmalade and toasts...

Have eaten here several times, the last time two years ago. The food, as ever is amazing, the staff friendly and helpful. Tables overlook the bridge and the river at the quiet end of the beautiful town of Brantome. The choice of lunch menus is extensive and suited to every pocket. Often the cheaper Menu du Jour is the most...

I actually was meant to be eating at the Le Saint Sincaire next door but the outdoor seating area mergers between the two. We had the snack menu of croque monsieur which was fine and the children had a freshley prepared steak hache. I could see some mouth watering jambon and melon at the table opposite. Nice view of the...

My wife and I spent 2 nights here at the end of our holiday. The hotel is well placed to see the sights of Brantome. We had room 4 which is on the first floor at the back. It seemed to have been recently refurbished, the bathroom was very good, a wet room in fact. The bed comfortable but the...

My Parents treated us to a gorgeous meal at Le Coligny, where the service is excellent and the food delicious. The variety of food choice on the menu is excellent and it is worth trying the french cuisine, I particulary enjoyed the confit de canard which was tender. The staff are very thoughtful, especially with young children who have a...
