We arrived at the hotel late Saturday afternoon and was pleasantly surprised how close and centrally located - just off the main street and around the corner from the covered market, restaurants and sights. We were greeted by Monsieur Hervé, the owner, who took us to our two large rooms which were very nicely renovated to modern conveniences (especially liked...

We spent 2 nights in Sarlat which is a charming medieval town. The location of the B&B was perfect. However, this is definitely NOT a 4 star B&B and would not recommend staying here. Complaints are; NO air con in 35C heat at night, but was advertised having a/c. When discussed with owner we were told 'It was not his...

If you like well-located, small intimate boutique hotels with charm, history, and comfort at a reasonable price, this is the place for you. My wife and I stayed here for four nights in late May, ‘16. We would eagerly return and we don’t hesitate to recommend it, providing you share our preference for this kind of accommodation. As the name...

Where does one start with this unique and quirky accommodation! Online it looked very grand and we chose to stay in the blue room. I think there are only 2 rooms to choose from, the blue and the pink. The building is around 900 years old so that was pretty mind boggling to start with. On entering the room, which...

I tried to change booking dates through booking.com a week prior to travelling due to family illness, this venue did not confirm or respond to the request until the day of travelling, therefore I had to make alternative arrangements, they charged a cancellation fee despite booking.com advising them they had not responded.

We stayed here for two nights. The room was spacious and beautifully decorated with antiques. The bed was extremely comfortable. The bathroom was very modern with large, fluffy towels. Though the rooms are above a restaurant in the busy old part of the city, it was very quiet and peaceful. The rooms are on the second floor and you have...

We stayed for 3 nights in Le Petit Manoir and we absolutely loved it. The location is perfect (Sarlat is very small, but still very nice to be in the middle of it all). The only mishappen was that there was nobody there when we arrived. But well, there are only two rooms, so probably shouldn't expect a 24/7 lobby....

Situated right in the town secure parking is available for a small extra cost . Breakfast was nicely...

What a very extraordinary hotel in a medieval town of Sarlat-de-Caneda. A beautiful 15th century mansion with antique furniture, wooden floors, and exquisite large comfortable beds. The owner was available to ensure that we were happy with all the comforts of the hotel. The included breakfast was tasty and more than adequate. The restaurant, Le Petit Manoir, was available for...
