Both the bedroom and bath were spacious and comfortable, and the front desk staff was very helpful with maps and recommendations...one of the employees personally called to make a dinner reservation for us, and another provided us with a band-aid when we needed one. (This may sound basic, but after some of the rudeness/attitude we encountered at OTHER French establishments,...

We stayed at Le Renoir for 2 nights in July and it was excellent. Although it is a couple of blocks outside of the Medieval Village, it is an extremely quick walk to get there. The receptionist was very nice, and spoke English, but also appreciated my initial attempt at French. We had a single room which was very clean...

The hotel is well placed for the medieval city being less than 5 minutes walking distance. Reception and service very good throughout the holiday. Breakfast was very nice with plenty of choice. We requested a quiet room for 3 adults and were just off reception. This turned out to be quire a noisy room with voices carrying from reception and...

I gave four stars here but would have preferred to give three and a half. As has been mentioned, the hotel is several blocks away from the main part of town. This isn't bad but it would be nicer to be closer in. Our room was on the ground floor and was quite large. There were two twin beds on...

Charming and beautiful town. There were 3 of us so we were given Room 11 just five or six steps from the front desk! Happily non-smoking but the smokers sat just outside our window so we often could not have our window open. Our room definitely needed some decorating as it seemed almost thrown together and with nothing hanging on...

Our family (couple with three children) stayed for one night at the Best Western of Sarlat-la Caneda. We had a charming and spacious duplex room (#19) with a big bathroom, air-conditioning, good wi-fi connection and a big screen TV. The children enjoyed the swimming pool. The hotel has an elegant lobby and breakfast/bar room. Near the bar there is a...

I wanted to visit Sarlat (again!) for years.Sarlat is wonderful. So we ordered a room for 3 days, two weeks before our arriving. We had a "voucher". What we got? We were "allowed" to choose from :a room without air-conditionning at 33degrees Celsius, a third floor room with no elevator and a spiral stair and a "duplex" that means to...

enjoyed this hotel even though we only stayed 1 night. it was very central to the medieval part of sarlat. the rooms were small but nice - the bathroom was really sumptious with a large bath. there was a tv and apparently you could get tea/coffee making facilities if you asked for it. there was a lovely pool but wasn't...

Sarlat is a wonderful town with a great Saturday market. The hotel is located just a five minute walk from the old town and market. The rooms are charming and the staff is very friendly and helpful. Marie and her staff go out of their way to help you. The buffet breakfast offers a good selection of bread and pastries,...
