The Coulevrine is a wonderful hotel and great value for money. My wife and I stayed here for 4 nights in July 2005 and loved the hotel. It was ideally located, comfortable, and clean. The staff are courteous and very helpful. Despite being built into the medieval town ramparts, rooms are modern and have all of the amenities. Two words...

We spent 2 nights at la Couleuvrine and thought it was a great deal for the price. The pictures on its website represented the rooms well, and our room was plenty big for 2 of us. We overlooked the busy corner as well (may have actually been in room 14 as the other reviewer was) but didn't experience loud traffic....

I've stayed at the Couleuvrine at least a few days a year for five or six years, and I have always thought it's an excellent value for money. The rooms are clean but fairly dinky, worn out around the edges but entirely serviceable and pleasant. The restaurant is quite good, and breakfast is fine. Book a Friday night and you...

This hotel is in a historical building in the Medieval City of Sarlat. Its corner location was very noisy (scooters and cars zooming by every night). Our room (#14) was tiny with barely enough space to walk around the bed, although there are larger rooms available.
