We loved this hotel and didn't want to leave. We wish we could have stayed longer than the 2 nights we had there. The owners, Jean and Armelle, are sweethearts, so helpful and nice. We paid less for this room than any of the other 5 hotels on our trip, and we liked it the best. We arrived at night... More

We stayed in Hotel Montaigne as part of a small group tour, and this was probably my favourite hotel of the trip. It helped that we got a lovely room (14, as I recall). The room was on a corner facing the street, which meant we got a little balcony. It also had very good airconditioning, nice furnishings, beautiful heavy... More

My daughter and I stayed here for 3 nights in September and it was great. Our windows opened up and felt very safe with them open. Closed, the street noise did not bother us at all. We could walk to everything in this little town, even walked to the laundry. Had the biggest outdoor market on Wednesday I have ever... More

We stayed here for three nights in September and loved it. This was the most economical place we stayed on the whole trip and at 69 euros per night, I wasn't sure about the hotel. I couldn't have been more pleasantly surprised. We stayed in room 1. The room was nice and clean; beds were comfortable. The windows kept out... More

Stayed in Hotel Montaigne for 4 nights as a center point for exploring the Dordogne region and were not dissappointed. The hotel is ideally located and the hotel owners were very friendly and helpful. We had breakfast on the first morning which was great value for money, unfortunately our plans did not allow us to have breakfast every morning. The... More

This is a great 2 star hotel. Well run and friendly. Just a very short walk to the old town. The rooms are simple, but air conditioned if you wish to use it. Breakfast was a good French buffet. Plenty for a couple of cyclists.

I spent two nights in a double for single use at the Hotel Logis Montaigne in May. The location is outstanding, just a block or so outside the old city and within easy walking distance of Sarlat’s many lovely sites. (One can walk the entire length of the old city in 15 minutes or less, unless you “count” the countless... More

Attractive hotel from outside in great location, very small inside with aging decor. For a short stay in Sarlat, more than sufficient. Very nice buffet breakfast and hotel owners quite lovely and helpful. The free wifi works very well in the rooms -- the best of our entire European adventure. The hotel is just outside the old walled city, great... More

We stayed in the family room with a double bed in 1 room and 2 twin beds in the other room. The room was clean and comfortable with 2 flat screen TVs. There was a computer in the lobby area for guest use. The hotel was very close to the historic district. The breakfast buffet (additional cost) was good. We... More
