We loved our stay in Sarlat and at the Hotel Montaigne. Very clean, Armèle was very helpful, the hotel is very well located ,the room was small ( this is because we chose this one , 56 euros/night ) but comfortable with placards and hangers. I would go back anytime. I classified the hotel as " excellent " because I...

Stayed here 3 nights. Spacious, no-frills rooms, but clean and quiet, and a great deal for the price. The owners, a husband and wife team, are very helpful and friendly. They even let me park my rented bike in their personal garage, and provided a lot of helpful advice on local sites. I'd happily stay there again.

Stayed here for two nights as part of an Intrepid tour. For a 2* hotel it is exceptional. Run by a husband and wife, nothing is too much trouble for them. The rooms are spacious and bright and you can spread out in the bathroom which is a huge plus for these hotels in France. The breakfast which is extra...

Staying in this hotel is like being at home: it gives you such feeling from the very beginning. Very nice and friendly owners who are ready to help you, great location, especially, if you have a car and are going to drive around Dordogne River Valley, spacious and spotless rooms, short walking distance to the heart of Sarlat. At times,...

Firstly this hotel is in an excellent location for exploring the old city of Sarlat - 1 minutes walk and you're in the old city. The hotel itself is in a nice old building - but it doesn't compare to the amazing old buildings within the old city. In front of the hotel is a large car park, which makes...

This hotel, like the others have said, is nothing fancy or special, but the rooms are impeccably clean, the beds comfortable, the bathrooms modern, and the couple that run the place were kind and helpful. I would definitely recommend this place, in fact, we're going back there in two months! If I had to say something negative it would be...

This hotel was a last minute find on this website. Pretty much does what it says on the box. It is a no-frills hotel. The rooms are basic, but clean. We did have to change our room as the first was in the rafters and VERY small and dark - so beware! If you have a room overlooking the street,...

This family-run hotel on the edge of town proved to be a real find and a great value. The rooms are tastefully furnished and the gracious owners were eager to ensure our comfort and be helpful. We would have missed out on the guided tour in English of medieval Sarlat had our host not specifically recommended it to us at...

Very helpful and friendly staff. The location is perfect for Sarlat and for the very beautiful Dordogne area. The room was comfortable, quiet and clean. Parking right outside. The owner even gave us an excellent recommendation for a restaurant in Paris!

Hotel Montaigne was a great little family run hotel, perfect for my one day stay in Sarlat. It is located just outside of the old city next to a parking lot. But Sarlat is so small that in 10 minute you would have walked across the entire town, so distance was not an issue. Except the last day when I...
