We returned having already visited over the Christmas period and we brought our elderly dachshund who remembered her earlier visit! The staff, service and general ambiance of the hotel were outstanding. They all made us feel at home immediately and the dog was excited to be back among other dog owners and pets. The food and relaxed atmosphere made for...

We booked a 3 night stay at the Pheasant to celebrate our 40th anniversary. The hotel was easy to find and reception was very friendly and helpful. It is superbly located for many local attractions, but still retains an air of seclusion and tranquility. Our double room was faultless and comfortable. Meals generally were good, as was the service, but...

We spent a night here as a treat before going to the steam event organised by the North Norfolk Railway. Our room was very comfortable with two good armchairs, a large bed and a good shower. We had an excellent dinner in the orangery, two glasses of wine which we ordered at the start of the meal were not good...

Having called in occasionally we thought it was worth a try as a last-minute bargain for a 2-night break. Absolutely right! a huge comfortable bed, friendly staff and plainly some talent in the kitchen. Dinner was excellent and breakfast earns a special mention. Minor niggles; room servicing a bit slapdash - provided face cloths disappeared after day 1 and the...

I called to make a reservation and initially asked a question about the hotel. The lady on the phone was curt, cutting me mid sentence and putting me on hold. The next person I spoke to I explained that the previous lady had been rude. This was ignored as clearly the customer service training is non existent at this hotel....

This hotel is in Kelling between Sheringham and Cley. It is well situated for visits to places on the north Norfolk coast. The staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful and the food was creative and very tasty. The hotel itself had been refurbished about four years ago and was had a warm ambience. There was some interesting wallpaper in various...

Exceptional service - nothing was too much trouble, from the first enquiry on the 'phone - everything we enquired about was met with a 'can do' attitude. A smile and warm welcome greeted us and everything was served with a smile from Kelvin. Excellent customer service which is hard to find. Nothing over-stated, nothing over the top, all just perfect....

Had a delightful family lunch here on Easter Sunday. Two of us had two courses and 2 of us had three courses. Very good value, superb service, in the conservatory part of the restaurant. Comfortable seating and a good menu. Try for the conservatory as it is spacious, brighter and looks out onto gardens. In its own grounds between the...

A short break mid-week, a couple of nights away. The hotel has changed a lot since we were last here and for the better. The food was excellent and plentiful, well cooked, well presented, well served in very nice surroundings. Unfortunately, we can't give the hotel five stars because there were a few things not quite right. The hotel staff...

Spent a very pleasant weekend at Pheasant as a joint birthday treat for myself and my wife. Stayed in one of the feature rooms which was very nice, large and spacious with a large very comfortable bed and big shower/bathroom. The food was good for evening meals and breakfast and the staff very friendly. Would thoroughly recommend.
