It is difficult to express how bad this hotel is. The manager was rude and unhelpful. The room was horrible (have a look at the photo). We couldn't get the breakfast we had ordered, the dining room was locked and there was nobody around. The highlight of the evening was reading the other comments in the guest book. This is...

I should have read other peoples' experiences before booking this terrible hotel: The manager was surly, the reception service was slow as the staff were eating their meal and didn't want to be interrupted, the room stank of cigarettes, the shower was broken, there was no toilet seat, the manager sulked when we said we weren't having the evening meal...

If you prefer to spend a night in Boulogne rather than Calais then this quirky little hotel is one to consider. It's very conveniently situated close to the marina and within walking distance of the town and restaurants. After breakfast you can easily visit the large, well stocked Leclerc supermarket at Outreau, and get back to Calais for a late...

We stayed here four nights and apart from the chipboard furniture, the washbasin that dripped, the shower which didn't (and was blocked(, broken tiles and a lavatory that anyone larger than a child would regret trying to sit on, a bed that would have had the Count of Monte Cristo begging to be returned to his jail, (lumpy? like sugar...
