Before I start, I didn't book this place, it was booked on my behalf. However I do expect a certain level of cleanliness wherever I stay. The room was cheap, cheerful and small as I would expect for the heady €28 price tag. The toilets and showers are separate from the room so if you need to getup in the...

Scottish people love a bargain and this hotel was clean, comfortable and such good value! The shower was strong and warm and I loved the hand dryer above the mirror to help blow you dry before you get dressed. Only down side was a smell of smoke which I think must have been from the staff smoking whilst working as...

We needed to go to Paris. Okay, that's a lie, I inadvertently on purpose bought something on Ebay that was in Paris, and (after convincing my wife) that we could see Paris had two days with which to make the trip. I slaved for at least 7 minutes on the internet finding the cheapest possible way to do it, and...

Nice and clean but did smell of smoking. Very friendly staff. Asked for a quiet room and got one so slept well. No locked parking bit all seemed safe. Toilets and showers down corridor but it is cheap and good value

We stayed in Abbeyville F1 which had gone downmarket since our first visit and after reading some of the reviews on here, I was a tad concerned about what we might experience; but as my daughter said, "everyone has a different Opinion". This F1 was FAB! Helpful Receptionist, Exceptionally clean room, exceptionally clean toilets. All was quiet when we arrived,...

We often use F1 hotels for an overnight stop en route and find them clean, simple, cheap and convenient. Unfortunately the one at Boulogne smelt so badly of cigarette smoke throughout the corridors and in our room that I had to sleep with the window wide open to try to be able to breathe. Will use the Calais one in...

This is the second F1 I have stayed in the last months the first one down south which was far superior in every way, more modern far cleaner and better service. However the last one gave the wrong location co-ordanates, the one thing this one got right. When we arrive we were checked in OK, but then found we had...

Jam packed full of builders and itinerant workers, some openly smoking in their rooms (their doors were wide open) and in the corridors, plus a strong smell of cannabis in the corridors, this felt like a flop house for casual workers. Someone was cooking a full meal in the room next to ours (onions, meat etc). Clearly no smoke alarms...

I have only recently discovered the F1 chain, and I'm still a little giddy about their prices. The whole premise is that they are in crap locations, on the very outskirts of towns, often on industrial estates. And therefore soooooo cheap. I love it. Who wants to pay 5 times as much for some frowsty b&b, if all you actually...

Positives are that the rooms are clean and basic, the bathroom facilities although separate are always clean and we didn't have trouble with availability. The breakfast was a bit basic too but at that price I wasn't expecting much more. The staff were friendly and attended to our needs. The downside of this F1 was the location as it was...
