We stayed at this gem of a hotel on our way to the south of France, and on our way home. The owners were very welcoming and friendly. The rooms were superb and the hotel tastefully decorated. The breakfasts were great. We would certainly stay there again and would not hesitate recommending this hotel to anyone. Wonderful place!!!

Stop over stay heading south through France. Hotel and hosts were just superb. The rooms were really comfortable, great decor throughout and owners were very welcoming and helpful. Hotel about 5-10 minutes walk from main square restaurants and bars. Car parking close by. Spend about 2 nights a week in hotels on business in UK.....wish there were more gems like...

Had comfortable, quiet and nicely decorated adjoining, air-conditioned rooms with views toward inner court yard. Private parking available at extra cost. Wifi, iron and iron board, safe deposit box, hairdryer, tea and coffee making facilities in rooms at no extra charge. Breakfast was delicious, served with a smile either in a large room or in the garden. Staff and owners...

Nice quiet place with secure off street parking and friendly owners that make your stay comfortable. Good breakfast too. Definitely on the short list. No need to move car out as owner recommended a nice restaurant two blocks away.

We made a last-minute booking at this hotel and expected something amazing, based not only on the reviews but also on the hotel's website. Our experience was not really much of an amazing one, though. When we arrived, the host was helpful (he took our suitcases upstairs, since there is no elevator) but not too friendly; we both felt that...

Great little stopover in Niort. The hotel has been decorated with real style and there’s some lovely piece of furniture and art around the hotel. Our room was also really nicely finished and bed very comfortable. The owners could not have done enough to make our stay enjoyable and gave us lots guidance with local area. Very well placed to...

We were greeted by the owner who at first seemed friendly and helpful. However we think that he my suffer from stress as on our departure when he needed to reposition a guests car for us to exit he broke into foul language because he couldn't start it and dragged the poor guest to her car in a brusque manner....

This was our second visit to this hotel, the owners are very nice people and they made us feel so welcome. Our second stay was a few months after our first and they remembered us and tried to make our stay even better the second time round. They are located within walking distance to everything. Some rooms have sliding doors...

What a lovely hotel! Everything was brilliant. It was like a cross between a 5 star hotel and staying with friends who just happen to live in a gorgeous house. It is only a couple of minutes walk to the centre of town. We were given a marvellous welcome and the staff speak excellent English, if necessary. The bed was...

Before this trip (mid-Sept, 2015) we had never been to Niort. We only decided to stay here because we didn't think we could make the drive from Paris to Ile d'Oleron the same day we landed in-country. What a wonderful surprise this hotel was! Set in a gorgeous 19th century mansion, and run by a family that has many decades...
