We stayed here for 3 nights a couple of weeks ago. We came from the UK, Amsterdam and South Africa to watch my nephew play rugby for Niort. Our hosts Veronique & Thierry were lovely. The hotel boasts individually themed double rooms which are tastefully decorated. There were nice little touches in the rooms such as tea & coffee making facilities and water. The rooms were spotlessly clean and so were all other areas of the hotel. The self serve breakfast was lovely. The rear gardens also boast a lovely pool and lounging area. It was a shame the weather was not warmer as we would have loved to have used the pool! The hotel is a short walk to the centre of Niort. There was on road parking outside the hotel. We had a lovely stay and lovely time at this hotel. We will definitely be back. I would highly recommend this hotel. Thank you Veronique & Thierry👌

We had a lovely stay. The house is very nice, at a good location from the city centre, the rooms and the rest of the house is very clean and the garden with the pool is great! The only point of critique is that the rooms are non-air-conditioned and become hot during summer. Other than described in several other reviews we experienced the hostess as very friendly and helpful. If we go back to Niort we would definitely stay here again!

A group of friends and I on a cycling holiday in France stopped here for one night on our way south. We could not have asked for better accommodation or service. The whole house is beautifully furnished and there is a lovely garden with pool where you can relax and enjoy drinks. The hosts - Veronique and her husband could not have made us more welcome and we all agreed we would have loved to have stayed for longer. I would not hesitate to recommend Maison La Porte Rouge!

We stopped of here for 2 nights in our way back to Cherbourg. Really comfortable, stylish place. Parking is safe & free. Easy walk into town with restaurants close by. The owner Veronique was really welcoming and friendly, I especially loved her home made granola!

A quaint little place ideal for a stop off on our way from the south to the north of France. Beautiful rooms full of charm and character accompanied by a lovely breakfast full of croissants, breads and homemade granola the following morning. Run by a wonderful host who helped us out with a tricky situation when we broke down outside trying to depart for our ferry in st malo! Veronique welcomed us back for the day and helped us enormously with the local VW garage before sending us off on our way later in the afternoon. Looking forward to our next visit - thank you so much!
