We arrived at the hotel mid afternoon on a Wednesday only to find that parking was at a premium. After driving around a 1000 space free car park, unbelievably, we could not find a space. We found a space near the hotel which we had to pay and later moved the car to the free car park. The staff were very helpful and friendly and the breakfast was very good. Excellent room with large bed and settee. Would recommend.

Not only is this place ideally situated for the square and all things Rochefort, the staff are great and the breakfast is the best that France has to offer. This is my third stay here and even though I could hunt for the mostt expensive, it cannot compare with the personal touch and friendly welcome I always receive.
I've got to say that since my first visit the parking has become a little bit more of a problem, but pay a couple of euros, wait a little and a space will occur.

Stayed here for 2 nights and thoroughly enjoyed it. Ideally located for the centre and amenities. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Shower room was a little cramped but adequate. Lovely and clean throughout.

We arrived mid to late afternoon. Became very French immediately and parked the car on the footpath to unload the copius amount of luggage. The is a massive free car park just across the road so parking was not an issue once the baggage was unloaded. We had a room over looking the Rue Dr Pelletier and the lovely Post Office building. Street noise did not prove to be a problem. Jean Yves and Delphine were great hosts and did the little extra things to make the stay really enjoyable. The pictures of the swans on the beds sold us when we were looking for accomodation as I knew my youngest daughter would really appreciate them. The towels were folded into different shapes each day. I have a daughter suffering from Coeliac disease and Jean Yves went out of his way to be sure she was catered for, although as we found across France he was confused about the illness. He also gave my daughters free tickets to go ice skating in the city centre. The hotel was within walking distance of many attractions. We couldn't have been happier.

Spent a couple of nights in this hotel. Lovely greeting from proprietor and we're taken to our room. No lift, so good job we are relatively fit as we were on the second floor. Saying that they can accommodate guests with mobility difficulties.
Our room was spacious and nicely decorated and a good sized bathroom with a proper hairdryer, near a mirror!
The hotel is situated quite centrally with potentially a noise problem, but we heard nothing and had a great nights sleep.
Breakfast was as previously mentioned excellent. A huge choice without being overwhelmed, and plenty of it, and regularly replenished. Eggs are available on request.
Would recommend for a weekend or short break stay. Well priced for what you get.

The rooms were clean and the service was friendly. Location is great, you're just a few blocks from the Place Colbert, in the heart of historical downtown Rochefort.
Missing is air-conditioning and a lift. Also, the ground-floor room, albeit clean and nicely decorated, is small and claustrophobia inducing.

Extraordinarily wonderful host and hostess have made our stay more wonderful than expected. A hospitable and charming husband and wife team have transformed a well located hotel into a modern masterpiece. They have welcomed my most rudimentary French, and have gone to great lengths to be helpful. I cannot recommend this hotel enough. Please stay, you will not be disappointed!

We stayed at this place for just one night. It is fairly central, but it was a very loud and hot place. I would say that this place in summer is not the best place to spend a night, but given the price, it is acceptable. Bring earplugs.

Well they said there was parking nearbye and there certainly was, right next to the Office de Tourisme and enough for thousands of cars, just across from the hotel. A lovely welcome from friendly staff this hotel was well placed for tourists. We were escorted upstairs by the owner having driven down through the Marais Poitevin on a very warm day. There was a swan made from two bath towels on the bed, one of three towelanimals we spotted. The room was a decent size, clean and newly and fashionably decorated. The bed was comfortable and we both had a good nights sleep.
Breakfast was buffet style an pretty good value. We left thinking that it would be a really decent place to stay when passing through next time. Inexpensive and well placed in the city. The proprietors certainly made every effort to make us welcome even though we were only there for one night.

Room Tip: I'd choose a room at the back as we did, the hotel's on a busy junction and could be noisy.

On our cycling holiday we came from La Rochelle to Rochefort in torrential rain, everything was soaking wet, we arrived at the hotel early. Madame welcomed us warmly , we were able to dry everything , she made us sandwiches washed down with a bottle of local white wine, we then felt much better. We had a fantastic breakfast, too much choice! Would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area, oh, and go on their website to see the towels!!!!
