Pets are no longer allowed, but this is a great hotel with a fantastic location and delicious, light breakfast (although they have homemade breads, jams, cheesecake (!) and fresh squeezed OJ. The rooms are fine, although the wifi only works with the network located downstairs. No air conditioning but there are fans in each room. The folks running the place are... More

Thank you for this nice review, Pet policy changed only for online OTAs bookings. Customers took benefit of it to come with huge dogs and no warning and then made us terrible reviews if we dared to mention it. We still allow pets under 10kg with a supplement of 10 euros, but only for telephone or email bookings. They are... More

Stayed 1 night on way back from South. Rochefort itself is all naval museums and tiny harbour but pleasant in the sun. Was able to park next door to hotel ( if leaving early). Lady on reception very helpful. Should have reserved room on lower floor as lots of stairs. Room basic and no air con though fan did its... More

The hotel is a good central location, close to the town centre. Very helpful and welcoming staff. Room quite basic, but comfortable. Hotel breakfast is good with some nice touches including homemade breads and freshky-squeezed orange juice. Overall good value for money.

Really warm welcome from the staff, helpful with directions and suggestions on where to go and what to see. Breakfast was great, only downside regarding food and drinks was that there wasn't a bar just a vending machine, however it's so close to everywhere it wasn't a problem. The location is perfect,on the doorstep to everything you'd want to see and do in... More

The lovely people running this hotel prepared homemade bread, cheese, and jam for breakfast, not what one would expect in a 2-star hotel. Our stay for the price couldn't have been nicer. We'd gladly return. The very friendly owner speaks good English.

The location is good with easy parking and only a short walk into the town. Our room was nicely decorated with good facilities. We didn't dine in the hotel but went into the town, which is lovely with a good selection of restaurants.Breakfast was simple but good. The hotel is old and the stair case is very steep. It could be a... More

We booked a family room for 1 night. The hosts greeted us warmly and we were quite charmed by them. The room was spacious with a basic setup - perfect for us. Only drawback was the shower - similar to a portable one but plumbed well with hot water and good positioning, shower curtain etc but the shower head needed... More

My friend and I stayed here during a cycling holiday in Spain and France. We were warmly welcomed by the hotelier and shown to the garage where our bikes were left secured overnight. We had a lovely en suite room at the top of the hotel which was clean and tidy. I had enquired on arrival if I could have... More

Part of the Logis Hotel network which is a good recommendation to start with. A convenient location within easy walking distance of the city. We had a recently upgraded, large room with a very large bathroom. Our room was very quiet which was impressive given the central location. Wifi was good. Breakfast was also good. Staff were friendly and helpful.... More
