A very basic hotel that is reflected in its price. We booked one of the few rooms with en-suite facilities (who knew this wasn't standard in this day and age!!) though door to the separate toilet in the room opened directly next to the bed. Clean room and great location for the town centre restaurants, shops and bars. Car park to front of hotel has to be paid for and can get very busy. We deliberately chose not to eat in the hotel as we were unsure about the cleanliness in the bar/restaurant area, very different to the clean hotel room we experienced. With some significant investment this hotel could be amazing.
This really is an awful place to stay. If we had not paid fully in advance we would not have stayed. The only redeeming feature is the amazing view from some of the rooms. We had a room with ensuite facilities but the shower room door was hanging off & the shower screen also. The whole place was dirty & run down. The bar terrace area, which shares the amazing view , was closed due to part of the roof falling through the canopy! The dining room was also dirty with big cobwebs hanging from the lights. The landing area was just depressing! I have to say that the bed was Ok, the wi fi worked well & breakfast was fine but I was truly glad to leave.
Very well located with beats views, but the infrastructure is aged and has to be renovated. The restaurant offers good food for a good price but closes too early (20:30 last order). The staff is friendly and that is what made our stay good...
Great budget hotel set in a the beautiful town of Sisteron. We had a basic but functional family room, with nice views up to the Citadelle. There is parking at the front but you have to pay - 1 euro per 2 hours until 5pm, then free until 9am the next day. Staff were friendly and the evening meal was adequate. The real pleasure (having dragged the GTs (grumpy teenagers) up to the Citadelle, was to come back down, sit on the hotel terrace overlooking the beautiful Durance river and amazing rock structures, and while away a few hours drinking local rose! This hotel is worth the budget element just for this and the views alone!
The hotel is at the entrance of the old town, by the river. Wonderful views all around. Very close to the center and to restaurants. The building is very nice, inside little has been done to make it pleasant. It looks quite old and shabby. The room however was clean, with a nice view: very basic, little more space than the bed, no space for clothes, a toilet and a small bathroom (shower + wash basin). No soap for the wash basin but being all very small it was easy to use the dispenser in the shower. There is a lift, even if small. Breakfast is not included and expensive for what you get. When I arrived at 8 yogurt was over and not replaced. The rest of the buffet was quite poor. Wifi is free and good.
