Our second visit as a group of 6 young at heart ladies. It just works for us. Location: Situated at the bottom of a slope, next to Intersport for all your ski hire needs and a short 2 minute walk to the lifts or ski train/buses. Accommodation: Perfectly adequate rooms with spacious bathroom (ours, Rm 112, could easily have had...

This was our third year staying at La Marmotte and we will be back again next year! A a family owned hotel you really get a true sense of alpine hospitality. Pros: The main ski lift is 100m from the door (a button lift is even closers ;-) ) Ski rental is next door 3 restaurants in-house, all excellent! Swimming...

Overall we had a great stay. Perfect location, bedrooms had everything you needed, great food in all three restaurants. Service overall was very good, some nights a little slow but overall for a seasonal resort this is always a struggle and I think this hotel is much better than most. Highly recommend it. We will be back.

Having skied through many times, I was keen to stay and experience the village atmosphere plus take advantage of walking opportunities for some that have hung up skis! We planned three nights to give three full days skiing days which is easy given the easy transfer(thanks Skiddy Gonzalez) and the willingness of the hotel to facilitate a late departure. A...

Spent a few days here skiing. Pretty much ski in and out and opposite the main chair lifts. Ski hire from place next door and lockers with boot heaters in ski room make for comfortable boots in the morning. Very comfortable hotel. Rooms well appointed. Nice pool and three restaurants to choose from . Food is very good indeed ....

Stayed here for a week for early half term break with my wife and two boys in Feb '16. We stayed in a two bedroomed suite. Very spacious and fitted out to a high standard. Few quirks worth knowing about - only one toilet which is an oversight, wooden floors mean that it's quite noisy from upper and lower floors,...

Stayed her for a mini snowboarding break. The place is lovely. Easy and cashless (if you want it to be) which we found ideal after being out on the slopes. Perfect position for access to the slopes and plenty of locker space to store boards/skis. Everything you need is on your doorstep. Staff here are friendly and helpful. Food is...

Stayed here for a few days skiing in early feb '16. The snow conditions were generally terrible but because of the direction of the slopes it was still easily possible to ski right back to this hotel. Which is definitely worth skiing back for. Our room was one of the basic "classic rooms" and was therefore quite cosy even for...

Booked a four night stay through SkiWeekends (who we would also recommend). The hotel surpassed our expectations - fabulous location, fabulous service, fabulous breakfasts. Would definitely recommend and will definitely be back. My only complaint is that hotels continue to provide pathetic hairdryers in the bathroom which are next to useless for styling hair - but when I mentioned it...

Location is great - that is if you want to be in Les Gets, as Les Gets is not the deal location to be if you want to ski in Porte du Soleil. Why? because you need to walk through Morzine or take a little train/bus and then spend 1 hour on boring slopes before getting to Avoriaz. But if...
