Went there with my wife on road cycling trip. Great place. Simple, clean, nice atmosphere. Was off-season visit and was very quiet at the time. Everythingvwas simple and easy. Even bike storage. Easy access to village and beyond. Breakfast was good. This trip will remain one of the top 5 couples experiences we have had and the welcoming Chalet had...

Never been to the Alps in the summer, so decided to take a short break in July. We have stayed at Chalet Marie Stuart a few times now...always in the winter, but in the summer it's amazing. The chalet is a traditional style with loads of charm and character, and the hardest working lovely lass Caroline taking care of us....

A lovely host, fabulous food, the most comfy beds. We were made very welcome and it was a pleasure to be there. We stayed on the way down to Italy. We knew it was a mainly skiing chalet but friends had told us how great it was and they were right. So don't hesitate to go in the summer there...

An amazing place to stay with family and friends. A very hospitable host with excellent culinary skills. A wonderful place to stay in Samoens for sure. Highly recommended. We were there for 5 days and each day was worth. Caroline was so helpful in every aspect and made sure that our stay was of utmost comfort.

The Chalet is homey, the food is excellent, and above all Catharine is a gracious host who likes to help. The location is very nice, quiet but close to everything. A great place to stay for people who want a home away from home

We chose this area because of the proximity to Geneva and we were only skiing for 3 days. Caroline was the perfect hostess. Even arriving at midnight from Geneva, she had dinner ready for us with wine to accompany. Everything was so easy - driving up to the lift which had no queues, with the ski shop and lockers at...

Nestled in the hills of Samöens the lovely chalet was private yet accessibility to the local village and ski lifts was facilitated by our almost private chauffeur service from ski weekender (Ian). So skilifts were close and the resort of Samöens and Flaine were adventurous places to explore on ski's (I was worried the resort would be too small). Each...

We stayed in Chalet Marie Stuart (also known as Chalet Caroline after the owner) during a short skiing break. Looking at Le Grand Massif piste map, the chalet is located under the "V" of Vercland. Samoens is about 20 minutes walk downhill, the Saix telecabine a 15 minutes uphill walk. This disadvantage was overcome by a very willing and helpful...

From start to finish this short ski break was well organised, relaxed and comfortable. Ian picked us up from the airport. We were not waiting around and he was easy to spot. On arrival at chalet Caroline we had afternoon tea and Ian gave us all his number and our ski lift passes. He explained we could ring him at...

Everything about Chalet Marie Stuart (Chalet Caroline) is excellent. It was our fist experience skiing in the Alps, and what a good experience it was. Beautiful chalet, perfect location close to the lift, very well kept. The food prepared by Caroline (a trained chef) is delicious. We were always looking forward to relaxing evenings in front of the fireplace at...
