My friends and I stayed here for a week. We'd read some of the earlier reviews so weren't expecting much. When we arrived we were pleasantly surprised as the rooms were a nice size, comfortable, clean and not run down as previous reviews had said. The bar was good to chill in with friendly staff. Ski Val had great staff...

To answer some earlier reviews first. The wifi is excellent giving 15mb/s minimum. You can ski out but not in . The walk from the centre is under 5 minutes going slowly to get back. Currently used by SkiVal the current team are the nicest I have ever had look after us and the food was excellent. The bar is...

Okay so the positives - staff lovely and helpful. Bar and restaurant area are great for a big party - and we had the whole hotel. Food was generally good but not enough of the meat portions. The staff would always bring out what was left but it just would have been great to get a reasonable portion straight away....

The food is great, the SkiVal staff are very friendly and is only a 50-75m walk from the piste and the swimming pool, but the chalet itself is tatty and unloved. The whole place needs gutting and renovating. Our party had one room on the top floor which leaked all week. On emailing SkiVal they said the issue was being...

We loved Alpaka. We were there 2 weeks including Christmas and Boxing Day. Staff for this year is lovely. Friendly and relaxed, they put us at ease. Gary in the kitchen knows how to cook, so much was clear. Food was skiers food, and yet just that much nicer than the comfort food I would make at home, such that...

Hannah and the team at Alpaca Lodge were amazing- fixed everything we needed prior to our arrival- even had a late supper waiting for us when we rocked up at 10.30! It is a really down to earth, friendly chalet, quite basic but just the job if you are on holiday for the skiing and good company in the evenings.

We totally landed on our feet with this lodge. After being very badly let down by Crystal Ski we booked this with less than 48hrs before our trip was supposed to commence. It was cheaper than our other package and we could not have asked for more. I disagree with the other comment about it being dirty. This is one...

Let's start with the good points. The service good and friendly and the food was generally pretty decent. The bar area is comfortable. The problem is with the rooms. Each of us in the chalet had different problems. Some had no shower or a shower that you had to hold over your head. Ours was broken with mould growing in...

Just stayed at hotel, booked via Ski Val. The Ski Val staff were great and very friendly. The food especially, was of a excellent standard with a hearty breakfast to start your Skiing day. Rooms were comfortable and clean. The bar is perfect for relaxing in, with a lovely log fire and good beer. My only gripe would be poor...

Just returned from a great week skiing in Tignes and having visited the Alpaka 12 years ago was very disappointed to find it hadn't changed at all! The bar and restaurant were still very good however, rooms were very basic and worn out, no doors on cupboards, no shower curtains on baths, threadbare carpets, lights and boot warmers that didn't...
