One of the few good things about Tourotel was that you could ski straight out from the back door and it was only a 2 minute walk from the supermarket... however, there's a plethora of negatives associated with this hotel. Myself and 3 friends stayed here, all students on low budgets so our expectations weren't high. We just wanted somewhere...

The good: You are right at the heart of the action for skiing and can ski right out of the locker room down to the lifts. Close to restaurants/bars/supermarkets/shops. The bad: Checking in was very stressful. They don't have set times for checking in (even hostels give you a set time!) We arrived at 2pm (having left at home 11...

We had a four person apartment for two of us. This was certainly compact living but we had everything we needed. The room was warm with two single couches that were too wide for couches but too narrow & uncomfortable for the beds they became at night. We did move them around on the first night to make a double...

I stayed here with my partner and I would not recommend this hotel to any one . Staff are rude and unapproachable. It's very dirty . Only have Single beds, one pillow each, no kettle . Small ' kitchen area ' . Transfer day was awful as I could hear banging from the other rooms from 5am onwards so I...

We arrived at 2am on a Saturday night after a long transfer from the airport. We were greeted with a tiny, dated room where to our dismay, we were required to make our own 'beds' (essentially two separate sofas). The linen provided was stained and we were only given one pillow and a single towel. In addition to this, the...

Check in went smooth, service from the staff was average. Small studio apartment, but again, to the price it is as expected. Location was super. You can ski directly on the slopes and it is close to Carrefour (supermarket) and the after ski bars.

We have just returned from a week in the Tourotel. Value for money, this hotel/apartment is fantastic! We had a 2 bed studio, with two single day beds and separate bathroom/ kitchen. The beds were fairly comfortable. The room itself was very warm and the radiator got very warm very quickly. It's also worth paying a litter box extra for...

Sadly there are so many negatives about this hotel. The only positive is that you can ski-out of the locker room; ski-in is only accessible from the Peclet cable car down the (amazing) red runs. This was our first time in Val Thorens and we booked this hotel as we're a couple on a tight budget. We booked on intention...

Just back from a week in Val Thorens at Tourotel. Ignore the bad reviews, this place ticks all the boxes! We stayed 2-person with balcony apartment. Friendly reception staff always willing to help. A plug socket in our room was broken when we arrived and, within a couple of hours on a Sunday afternoon, an electrician came to fix it....

We have just arrived back from a week staying at the Tourotel in a 2 bed studio room, it's a VERY basic self catering hotel, however the location is straight on the piste with a ski in and out entrance. You are allocated 2 keys for the lockers which are located in the basement of the hotel so no need...
