We have skied extensively in France and have been to Val Thorens for the past 3-4 years. This was our first time at Temples du Soleil. We arrived late (11pm) and tired. The reception area was like a zoo and the receptionist was not interested in checking us in preferring to chat to the 3 "Hotel Security" personnel. On a...

Many thanks for taking the time to leave us a review of your stay in Val Thorens. We are glad to hear that you found your apartment clean and tidy. In regards to the noise level, we do have a "no noise after 10pm" policy at our residences and regret that our staff did not enforce this during your stay....

I stayed in this residence up till friday of this week. When we opened the door from our room, we immediately noticed how the hall light didn't work. I knew from reading other reviews that the service wasn't that good, so I was expecting small problems as such. Nevertheless, it took some time to find out what was behind each...

The rooms where really tiny and shabby. The staff where rude, cocky and not helpful. Everything where bad. My best advice for you is to NOT stay in this hotel. It is the worst hotel i have ever stayed in!

Just back from Val Thorens and I have to say after reading trip advisor before I went I was worried. I was pleasantly surprised when I entered the apartment, although there were supposed to be 5 in my group we only had 4 so the apt was perfect for us, maybe a bit tight with 5. We had a lovely...

We've just returned from the week of ski in Val Thorens where we have a bad luck to reside in Les Temples du Soleil. We were located in Machu block in 101 room. I'll start from a good things (which are very few unfortunately): a) Location of our room was pretty good, you can ski in/out of it and the...

Check in was fine. Room basic and decor tired, but we came to ski so providing we has somewhere to crash out that was fine. We did however expect to sleep. The first two nights were terrible. There was a large party of danish students and we expected the worst when we saw them carrying crate after crate of booze...

This is typical of budget French self-catering accommodation. I booked it because of the great price & fantastic location. Val Thorens is a superb resort with a vast infrastucture of runs. We went for the skiing and hardly spent any time in the apartment any way. It was clean and warm with all facilities and resort easily acccessible. Don't understand...

This hotel complex is a joke. Built around 1980 and never refurbished, the entire building is very worn down; large holes in the carpets, paint falling of roof and doors, mould and rotten wood in the bathroom. The staff consists of untrained youth straight out of school without training and support from experienced personnel. Hallways and our room was not...

We were 6 people (3 couples) staying in a 6/7 person apartment. I'll be as objective as possible and tell you what to expect: Tiny, tired looking apartments. If you are 4 people, get a 6 person apartment. If you are 6 people, get two apartments or be prepared to live in each other's space. The toilet cubicle is especially...

Thanks for posting your recent review. Whilst we do apologise for the tiredness of the apartments and parts of the resort that are scheduled for refurbishment, we do specify on our website that bigger groups should upgrade to a bigger berth room in order to accommodate their needs fully. We are sorry if this contributed to any negativity during your...

“found small hair on my bed sheets, a bit disgusting, the sheets were smelling good and looked just washed but there were many small hair in it... ”

“Not much storage space, so minimal packing required. If your apartment is short of anything (e.g. kitchen stuff, bed linen) then reception will provide extras. Take some cleaning products and toilet rolls as it's an apartment block and hotel type services are not provided. There is a Spar type supermarket on site which is well stocked. Free wifi for up to 5 appliances, so okay for phones and iPads. Signal was a bit intermittent though. In general I found the reception staff very friendly and it really helps if you try to speak to them in French - however lousy you think you are, they will appreciate the effort! ”
