La Goeliche is the perfect place to spend a leisurely get-away. The property is well-maintained, quiet with lots of nooks to relax, an onsite restauraunt, an amazing view of the St. Lawrence and Quebec City, and lots of things to do and explore on the Ile de Orleans. Quebec City is a short drive away. Go before Thanksgiving because many...

Unique location with view on Quebec City and the St.Lawrence River. Exceptional site. Restaurant has a very nice terrace where we ate as a couple. Service pretty good but they are a bit too busy with staff hurried. Had to ask for bread basket, every other table had one. Lunch menu good, but were out of home-made sausage, replaced with...

After a drive around the island, we stopped her for some lunch. We had been told by the tourist information lady that they would be open, but we were informed that the restaurant was closed until that evening. As we prepared to leave, the manager said that all she could offer was soup and crême brûlée. We were delighted -...

WE went here on a tour by Voir Quebec. We had a very nice lunch and the staff was very accommodating. It was very enjoyable. We had a choice of soups, entrees and desserts. They were all well prepared and served promptly.

My husband and I really enjoyed our too brief - one night only - stay at La Goeliche last week. We had a room on the second floor with a balcony from which we watched freighters moving up and down the river. The view of Quebec City, and the port, across the river, is absolutely beautiful at dusk. The meal...

There is no question that the view from our room is fabulous - both in rain and sunshine. The disappointments included the fact that each of our three dinners (for two) took more than two hours. Our last evening was a Wednesday. There were 12 guests in the dinning room from 6:30 to 8:40, yet it took two hours and...

Pretentious. Small room but reasonably comfortable. Attractive location. Very nice pool. Poor food, pricy, mediocre service especially at breakfast. Leaves you feeling you have grossly overpaid. There are far superior B&Bs on the island for half the price.

We thoroughly enjoyed our Saturday night dinner, served by Maude. She served our drinks and meals with perfect timing. The food was delicious and the servings were not overly large: just right. A perfect jewel foe anyone touring nearby Quebec City.

For our plans to tour Ile d'Orlean and other sites northeast of Quebec City, this inn was a very good selection. Our room had a covered deck (accessible by two other rooms) and view of a public parking lot, the St. Lawrence Seaway (with cruise and cargo ships passing by up close and personal), and Quebec City in the distance....

We had the pleasure to stay at this Auberge during last winter. Since it was in the middle of the week and low season we paid only 80$ for a nice room with a breath taking view on the St-laurence river. The Auberge is not too far away from Quebec city downtown and make it possible to go to a...
