Four of us arrived on a Friday afternoon after what was supposed to be a one hour drive from the airport in Florence. I used the directions supplied from a review that said they were "a must." First of all I have to say if you are staying at this hotel definately get a GPS. Then email the hotel and...

We spent four nights at Fattoria and it was exceptional. The views and geography were unbelievable. Overlooking vineyards, olive groves, and horse stables with snow-capped mountains in the distance. Contact them for local maps because it is isolated. The 6-7 mile country road coming in from the North (San Ellero) is extremely serpentine, the road through Cancelli is better. Our...

We spent 6 nights here in November. I agree that the grounds are beautiful but the accomodations were lacking. Our apartment for 4 consisted of 2 small bedrooms with 1.5 baths. Unfortunately the 1/2 bath was a shower and sink, no toilet. Our "living room" consisted of a kitchenette, a buffet table and a kitchen table with 4 wooden chairs....

This is the most usable posting on TA for this hotel. Due to previous postings, I printed out a detailed Google map to help me drive to this location. I am glad that I was prepared cuz it would have been a hoot to have wandered around the hillside trying to find this hotel. It's easy once you find it,...

My husband and another couple stayed here for a week using the hotel as base for day trips around Tuscany and our experience was overwhelmingly positive. The hotel is located in the hills southeast of Florence and both the surrounding countryside and the grounds are breathtaking. We spent some time every morning at the table in our kitchenette marveling at...

Set on the side of a mountain in Tuscany, this quaint, lovely lodging and eating establishment was perfect for us. Facing west, the views from anywhere on the property are breathtaking. There are many romantic spots to drink your Chianti all over the property. The service and food were excellent. You can even take a horseback ride through vineyards and...

This Italian resort was different than what you would find in the U.S., but it was really great! We had an apt., which included a living room, bedroom and small kitchen, and a balcony with room for a small table and chairs. The staff was very helpful, friendly and courteous, the food was excellent, the views and the grounds were...

The location is right in the middle of the rolling hills of Tuscany and very beautiful. It is a little hard to find because of the small signage. The rooms are very basic and were not cleaned on a daily basis. We stayed for a week and no one came in our room to service it. We had to go...

This was our first experience with agritourismo, so perhaps we didn’t know what to expect. The units were clean and modestly equipped. The beautifully landscaped setting was lovely and the staff was pleasant and helpful. What we were not expecting for a “four star” resort however: The rooms were not serviced in any way during our six day stay. We...

Stayed here for three nights as part of an organized bike trip through Tuscany. The setting is the beautiful Tuscan countryside, looking across the valley to the Chianti Classico wine region. The staff is very attentive and friendly and we received all of our requested wake-up calls. The rooms, however, were very basic and did not have air conditioning which...
