We had cod and local fishes as well as a steak dish at the restaurant. The food was cooked nicely and in the local flavour (which is to say, not much in the way of spices). The food was reasonably priced for Northern Norway and the chef, who we spoke to after the meal, was friendly and seemed genuinely passionate... More

A very cosy little hotel. People working there make the stay very comfortable, they are efficient, helpful, present but not overwhelmingly. There is a restaurant in the hotel open till 11 pm. Otherwise there is another restaurant 1 km from the hotel, or a bar that serves food but it is open at 7 pm. Wifi in the hotel is... More

I've been to very expensive hotels and resorts - they have it all....I think. But when I go to a place far out of places in Norway I understand that this is it - hospitality, smiles and a authenticity that you hardly can find anywhere in this world. The room was not as a suit at the Ritz-Carlton, the restaurant... More

I stayed one night on a work assignment. I will recommend staying here. The staff were extremely helpful. The coffee machine was complementary so you did not long for hot drinks. The room was spacious and the bathroom was great. Staying in the off season, the menu was limited, but I had some of the best cod in my life.

This hotel is very cozy with nice clean rooms with flat screen TV. I had an sea view but I would imagine you would see the sea in every room. The restaurant provided a basic but solid breakfast which is included. I had fishcakes for dinner and thought it was a great meal. My colleague had the meatball dish and... More

The four of us went to Rost for birding (awesome) and kayaking (fun). The Bryggehotel is fairly large and conveniently located. The rooms are nice (try to get one on the second floor overlooking the water) and clean, and the staff is terrific. The chef is outstanding and the breakfasts and dinners are excellent. We were there on my birthday,... More
