What an incredible place! Yay, Kirk! I had the best experience - it was my first time visiting La Ventana, and boy, did I get lucky to end up here! Kirk and Kitty were so welcoming and helpful. The casita I stayed in was great, breakfasts were great, the kite school was great, the view was great - everything exceeded...

My Wife Ann and I found out about Captain Kirk's from Tom at the Captain Kirk's Windsurfing and Kiting store in San Pedro, California. It is a fantastic place to go for winter Kite boarding or windsurfing. It is warm and has a high probability of wind in the winter. I windsurf and my wife loves the sun. As it...

Loved the hospitality and the accommodations. Kirk and Kitty are great. They offer valuable information about the area and activities. They truly want you to have an amazing holiday. The casita's are charming and very efficient. The shared kitchen is fabulous; and encourages interactions amongst the guests. We are kiters; but stayed there anyway; and enjoyed the exposure to the...

Two weeks ago I took my girlfriend and another couple to what I thought would be a great new Mexico destination. Captain Kirks was far from great. After making reservations months prior we arrived to captain kirks after a 3 hour drive from Cabo through storm damage roads to find the captain kirks resort in their winter mode. Infect, the...

My wife Kitty and i manage the resort ourselves in the high season from Oct-May, and have an on site manager for the summer off-season, Our manager says that this group was very negative upon arrival, and they had a difficult drive from Cabo airport due to a recent hurricane. Our place, and the area in general, had quite a...

My wife and I stayed at Captain Kirk’s for two weeks this March, 2014. Kirk and Kitty were awesome (owners of Captain Kirk’s). The casita we stayed in was very comfortable, including the bed! There was a shared kitchen which we used that was very user friendly. The breakfast that was provided was first-class and the cleaning services on the...

Due to no fault of theirs, my visit to Captain Kirks was a bit of a bust - but I'll definitely be back because of how nice the place was and how great the owners are. Here's the story in brief. It's always been a dream of mine to windsurf in Baja. I haven't really windsurfed before, but I was...

“Every room is probably great - my casitas was the farthest up the hill from the beach, and still it felt close and all was great, so probably the casitas even closer to the beach are even better - so, it seems like you can't go wrong with any room you get here! All rooms seemed quiet and gorgeous.”
