We enjoyed our stay in Barock Hotel am Dom. Frau Christine Bosch runs very fine property and she helped with the reservation and made our stay here nothing but pleasure. Hotel is in the well-preserved historical building just steps away from Bamberger Dom and Neue Residenz. Renovated, well-appointed rooms.

This is a cute, family-run traditional hotel with an excellent location. Interiors are charming and somewhat dated, but very comfortable. The location is excellent -- it's in the Altstadt so you should pay close attention to instructions if arriving by car -- and the breakfast is great.

We used the directions sent by the hotel so found it with no problems, and there was a space reserved for us to park. Our room was at the top of the hotel with sloping ceilings, so may not have suited tall people. Just a warning though - you will be woken up by the bells from the cathedral until...

The hotel am Dom was an excellent location to use as our base around Bamberg. This was our first time and the hotel exceeded all of our expectations. The facilities are clean, rooms are large, a well thought out breakfast is provided, and the location was perfect. The only thing is in the summer it is a bit warm and...

I loved this little hotel, it's not so large, and Christine basically runs the thing on her own. She is very involved, always said hello and asked us how we were while we were coming and going, even if she was in the middle of a conversation with someone else. She made the breakfast and offered coffee and fresh eggs...

The location is simply perfect: it is in the hearth of the historical center of the city, few strides away from the cathedral. The manager was helpful, she suggested us a walking tour and even lent us a city guide to help us better appreciate what we were seeing. The hotel itself is in a very nice building, but many things...

My husband and I recently stayed at this hotel for one night. The staff was very friendly and the hotel was clean. We had a nice view of the Dom from our room. Our room was very clean and was a good size. We drove here by car and if you are doing the same, I would recommend reserving a...

A perfect location for discovering the old town, reasonably friendly manager, and such a beautiful building. But once you enter, it is neither something modern, nor charming, nor a travel back into glorious old days, but a travel back into the 1980s. We knew there is nothing baroque about the hotel itself, and that's fine with us - rather have...

This is a wonderful small hotel in the old town of Bamberg. It is located on a small street in old town. (can be a little tricky to find, but our GPS worked perfectly). While the rooms are fairly basic, they are very clean and have plenty of room. The bathrooms are updated and very clean. It's a great value...

The hotel is located in the old town section of Bamberg which was great for walking around and enjoying the historical town. However it is not easy to get to from the train station by public transit. Best bet is to take a taxi but once you get there you can walk almost everywhere. The hotel looks to be an...
