#10 of 41 hotels in Bamberg

The Alt-Ringlein is a historic house, whose roots go back to the year 1302. It consists of the main wing with 20 rooms (all with shower, WC, telephone, TV and mini-bar) and the timberwood frame wing (shower or bath, WC, telephone, TV and minibar). WiFi is available throughout the house, free for overnight guests.

Our rustic restaurant offers Franconian specialties, z. B. Schauferla and sausages, smoked beer and good francoina wines. Enjoy our our cozy beer garden, with views of the cathedral towers.

The hotel garage is only for vehicles up to max. 150 Cm height available. Higher vehicles would be damaged. Just ask us if your vehicle fits.

The Alt-Ringlein is located in the old town part, in the heart of World Heritage between Cathedral and Schlenkerla. Everything is within easy walking distance, z. B. The Cathedral, the new residence or the old town hall. For the night owls provides the Bamberg Nightlife, right next to our house, a lot of attractions, events and entertainment.

The old town part of Bamberg is a living district, during the day or in the night. The Schlenkerla is directly opposite, the main pub alley next to it. It could be very quiet or very loud loud.

Simple clean rooms and bathroom in excellent location. Parking onsite but your car must be less than the height of a leprachaun, so check first. Breakfast nothing to write home about, but perfectly adequate in a somewhat soulless room. Most helpful receptionist ever, in complete contrast to the surly unpleasant waitress at the Alt-Ringlein restaurant next door. A good choice if all you need is a clean place to rest your head after exploring stunning Bamberg.

This quaintly rustic gem sits right in the center of Old Town amid cobbled streets, half-timbered structures, restaurants and homey pubs, including the famous Schlenkerla - literally across the street. The room is plain, but comfortable and includes a minifridge stocked with snacks and a couple of bottles of local beer - Mahr's. In the morning, there is a hearty German breakfast with bread, rolls, fruit, cereal meats and cheeses. The Alt-Ringlein also has a wonderful restaurant, where you can enjoy a hearty German dinner. We booked this hotel because of its central location for walking around the old city. it was perfect for that purpose (it is right across the street from Schlenkerla). The rooms are very plain. They are not air conditioned and we stayed in July. The result was the noisiest hotel I have ever stayed in. The street noise ended around 2 am and began again at around 6 am.

Lovely rustic rooms with vintage furnishings. No kettle to make tea. In the winter when it's 1 degree Celsius outside, it would've been great to come back to a steaming cup of tea in bed so a bit disappointed. Staff were a little offish - perhaps it's the Bavarian culture? They were quite short with a harsh tone. Amazing location. Right in the old town surrounded by lots of cafes (so could anyway have gotten a tea!). I do recommend it.
