No problems. Check-in process fine. Covid-19 arrangements for breakfast were fine. Slightly annoying when I dropped off the room key I said "Goodbye" but the girl at reception was too busy with her mobile phone to hear or notice me.
If you have spent time in the military, summer camp or a treking hut, you will feel at home in your room. Compact to the point of cramped. There is not enough room for two people. The WC is separate but the shower is in a cabin in the bedroom and so is the airline-size sink which is on the opposite side of a pedestal in the room with the tiny desk on the other side. Only the mirror above the sink separates the desk from the sink. The space for clothes is located next to one side of the bed and requires squeezing past the built in desk. The space provided will only accommodate a jacket or two and perhaps a sweater on the shelf. There is a luggage rack but no place to put it other than the foot of the bed which completely blocks the path around the bed. The person on the far side must crawl over the bed to get out. If one person is up, then everyone must be up as even the reading light shines out into the room, not down over the bed. Nice public areas, good breakfast, super convenient to the train station, walkable to the tourist sites, friendly and accomodating staff. Drinks available for purchase. Only food or services in the area are at the train station. Use of a hairdryer requires a 40 Euro cash deposit.…
It is only a couple of minutes from the railway station, so you do not have to traipse through town with your luggage. It was nice and clean and comfortable. It was quiet at night. My friends enjoyed the breakfast but I chose to take breakfast in town. Ibis Budget hotels never provide a plug for their sinks for some strange reason but apart from that there was nothing to complain about.
I did not know the BUDGET concept of Ibis. A fresh, new, modern style hotel with a room that has everything you wish for. (Although a wardrobe would be nice for long stay guests) All is in one room, except the toilet, which is in a separate space. Good beds, very nice staff and a rich breakfast buffet
Ibis never disappointed me, I always got exactly what I expected. This time wasn't an exception - perfect cleanliness, comfortable bed and very friendly and helpful staff. Although the hotel is located at the busy street and near railway the room was quiet. I am glad that I chose Ibis for this stay in Bamberg.
