We stayed here for one night, everything was perfect, we definetely recommend this hotel! The rooms are spacious and really nice decoration. The staff is friendly and nice; the breakfast buffet has everything you need,I would suggest trying the plums in Port wine!!

We stayed 4 nights in August. I very much liked the hotel, for reasons I will explain but there are a couple of things to be aware of as it won't suit everyone. First, the room is very large, the bed is very comfortable but everything is totally unmodernised. No air conditioning, bedside light switches, kettle - just basic furniture....

Nice hotel. It is old fashioned, but cosy, clean, comfortable. Right at the foot of the old town, only 600 m away along quirky cobbled medieval streets. The room is spacious, rather basic and with shabby chic furnitute, nice big bathroom. We liked it. The hotel restaurant is one of the best in town. Pricey, but worth it. We like...

Our Restaurant "Weinstube am Brühl" she has loved it - this is as it should be. We are committed to all our guests a high level of comfort and service to offer. Therefore major renovations are currently in our house. The charm and comfort of the historic building will be further enhanced. Come to visit us, it is worth it....

We had two long haul flights to Amsterdam then a 6 hour drive so wanted to book somewhere a bit upscale. Either the photos on this hotel's site are over a decade old - or the photoshop guy deserves an academy award --- because we booked based on the pics and let me tell you --- the room does NOT...

The public areas of this hotel are lovely. Checkin was easy and pleasant, although, most unusually, we did need to check for ourselves that the room was ready. Breakfast was very good, the breakfast staff were pleasant and efficient. Our room was large and clean, although the 'beach' touches in the bathroom were odd in rural Germany. However, the bed...

If you are on business or visiting the area use this Hotel. The rooms are basic but you can get around this, the food at breakfast, dinner or the weekly BBQ is excellent. The staff are very helpful, speak good English and it seems very popular with tourists from all countries.

This is a lovely hotel which could be even better. The whole ambiance is lovely and once we changed from a small room to a larger one we were very happy. What lets them down is the welcome. There is none. A gentleman sits behind a desk looking at his computer and checks you in like a robot. Have never...

I stayed here for one night in a single room that turned out (though decorated beautifully and fitted with all conveniences one would expect for an excellent hotel) to be the hottest, stuffiest room I've ever slept in -- tiny window, tiny fan, no AC means that even when it cools off at night, this room benefits from none of...

The staff is attentive, unobtrusive and professional in the hotel and the restaurant. We had room # 58 without aircondition and fitted with a thick duvet it was difficult to get some sleep on a warm night. There is no business center or public internet connection. The lobby and the courtyard are very inviting. Breakfast is good with a wide...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Experience the medieval, idyllic atmosphere in the heart of Quedlinburg as a fabulous journey back in time. Enjoy the surroundings which are by a ring of accommodatingly generous Jugendstil villas, each located just a few walking minutes away from the center of the World Cultural Heritage site. The vicinity is characterized by the Belle Époque and its lifestyle - which values appreciation of the small and large beautiful things. Exactly the right place for the Hotel am Bruehl! Located directly along the scenic Bruehl Park. Since being painstakingly restored, a romantic ambience inhabits the heritage-protected, half-timbered house of a former distillery and the adjacent Grunderzeit mansion. Visitors will discover a refreshingly pleasant atmosphere reminding them of Mediterranean ease. Near the historic heart of the city (barely 5 to 10 walking minutes away) and with a view of the hill castle Schlossberg with its double towers of the Romanesque abbey church, the hotel is the ideal place for beginning excursions. Regardless of whether for a sociable meeting in the lounge or a private retreat back into one's own room - the Hotel am Bruehl has room for all moods. And naturally, we offer our business customers an internet access via WLAN around the clock for free. From the spring season to autumn and in the summer, the broad, idyllic greens of our inner courtyard offer you a pleasant spot with fresh air. A coffee tray and a comfortable beach chair cater to "body and soul". And certainly, you will get your money's worth as friends and connoisseurs of good cuisine in our restaurant Weinstube am Bruehl. Our passionately prepared cuisine is aimed at fulfilling your culinary desires. On cool evenings, we invite you to enjoy the warm atmosphere of our fireplace lounge. The cozy seating areas and the bar receive not only night owls with open arms. Upon booking, please inquire as to barrier-free rooms and suites which may be comfortably reached with the lift. ... more   less
