The owner was rude and insulting when I told her that I was uncomfortable having to walk past a floor to ceiling curtain-less window to go from the bathroom to the bedroom in the 'family rooms' section of the hotel, and that the rooms smelled strongly of mildew. It's not too much to expect a room which actually affords privacy, and it's not too much to expect a half-way polite response when a guest complains. I've stayed in a lot of hotels in my life, and have never been faced with such horrible customer service. I would strongly recommend against anyone staying here -- there are certainly other hotels in town that are happy to hear customer feedback without getting rude! More

I ve stayed here a couple of times mainly as it s between Munich and Nuremberg and I ve been attending an exhibition in Nuremberg. There are a fair number of hotels in Beilngries , most of which look pretty similar. Krone is OK ( I ve stayed in a couple of the others) but receptions idea of service is a bit lacking to put it mildly.
Printing out a boarding pass is normally standard in any hotel I ve ever stayed in ( and I ve stayed in them all over the world) but to have someone refuse to print one from the Lufthansa website as she thought she would get a virus and then to lecture me on the evils of the Internet causing local unemployment ( she normally uses the local travel agency)didnt do a lot for customer relations. In short most hotels in Beilngries are pretty much the same but the customer service ( and the food) in most of the others Gams,Fuchsbrau etc is far better.
