Situated in the small town center The Hotel Van Bebber is a cozy quiet place with friendly staff a good cuisine and with the feeling always that all want to take care of you. The rooms are not small. The old house gives you a good feeling from the past without missing any modern wishes.

Quirky old style hotel with large, clean and well presented rooms. Central location just off the main square in a historic chocolate box German town. There's a good selection of places to eat nearby so I didn't try the restaurant. I did request an iron though and I had to iron my shirt in reception as they didn't allow the...

Charismatic, quirky and friendly is my description of this centrally located hotel. Room 207 is fantastic with a separate entrance and 2 levels. Breakfast was adequate and the staff very helpful. Close to lots of good restaurants

The hotel staff spoke english, a big plus, and were very pleasant, helpful and friendly. Our rooms were wonderful. The one I shared with my daughter even had a spiral staircase leading up to another room with dining table, chairs and great views out over Xanten. The hotel is old and full of character, huge oak beams, lots of dark...

We stayed here during our Rhine cycle holiday. The hotel was well positioned for the Rhine, and very close to the centre of the town. It is a very traditional hotel, but we had a good sized triple room. Good Wi fi and breakfast, and very good bike storage

Stayed here this week again on another business trip. The van Berber has come back to life !. Don't misunderstand me, this is a fine hotel - it just needs life, which hopefully it now has. The reception staff are great, the breakfast is excellent and the beer Keller is now back open. Roll on the van Bebber !.

Stayed here again recently during a business trip. As Easter is approaching, the hotel's traditional "strange" appearance was now changed to reflect the season - furry bunnies on the dinig table for beakfast, and two really bizarre dressed rabbits carrying paintbrushes nearby..... As ever, the hotel was great for the money - breakfast good, staff very attentive and polite.

We have just returned from a very pleasant trip to Xanten, staying for three nights at the Hotel van Bebber. Like most of the other reviewers, we were impressed by the building, its location and its history. Our room overlooked the pedestrianised Klever Strasse and was both spacious and comfortable. The high ceilings and almost full-length windows added to the...
