This hotel was recommended to us by a german friend and perhaps it is as good as he said when it's not full but our experience was mixed to say the least. First the good things - the receptionist we met on arrival was friendly and helpful, assisted us with our bags, and to find a parking space on the... More

From the oputside it doesnt look like much, but when you walk through the portal fra the busy street, you enter a small, cosy, quiet, clean and well run hotel. We had an appartment - clean, large, well equipped and reasonabled prised. Nice breakfast buffet, unique view to the local castle and a quiet garden to relax in. All in... More

Like most of the historic houses of this medieval city, the buildings of the hotel have been thoroughly renovated after the German reunification. Because of the... More

No brainer, I booked 3 nights immediately just based on that and the look of the place. Cancelled the hostel.... More

A deceptive little entrance takes you into a courtyard, with a car park out the back, and a lovely quiet garden. The hotel is a renovated old typically Harz like farm house, and all the rooms are in what were once the barns. The rooms are all different, and we were given a room right at the top with a fantastic... More

We spent 3 days here and found the hotel cosy and comfortable. We were the only English - we enjoyed the experience- the lady on Reception spoke good English which was good as we speak limited German. We had a lovely spacious room --the downsiide being the flight of 48 steps to it! We were however asked if we were... More
