A nice hotel with a good location in center. Free parking next to main entrance. Room was cosy and clean but pretty small. A good bathroom. Good breakfast and also possibility to have lunch/dinner at the same hotel´s restaurant ( good menu!). Staff was very friendly except a one lady who worked at the reception in our first morning. She was not helpful at all and kept all phone calls more important than helping people face to face. She just asked " What is it? Are you checking out?" I said "No, we just have few questions about hiking possibilities". Then she just said shortly "I am on the phone". I said "I see, we can wait". Then she finally came with some information to our questions but ran again back to phone when it rang. We gave up and got help outside the hotel. But she was just she, otherwise the staff was nice and we could come back. Thank you :-)

Very comfortable hotel, and I noticed, after a friendly check-in, that the room had no phone and no fridge. No great problem as I had no one to ring, and no need for a fridge. The room was very clean and practicable. A good shower and bathroom, and plenty of room for a single person. The continental breakfast was good and although my German is non-existent, I got good service. It is very central to the old town and a comfortable stroll around the town. I had 4 peaceful nights sleep and I would recommend staying at the hotel.

Arriving as walk-in guests, reception was incredibly friendly, chatting away whilst booking us in - maybe we were somewhat exotic, coming from Namibia. Nevertheless, check-in was professional yet friendly - made us feel at home. The hotel must have been refurbished in the not too distant past, all was in tip-top shape. Room was spacious enough, very clean, great bedding - superb, they should really be a 4 star hotel. The restaurant in the hotel was rather full, with what appeared to be locals frequenting the place. Service was a little challenged as there were only 2 waitresses tending to an estimated 100 guests. BUT - the food was mouthwatering, well prepared and delicious, worth waiting for a few more minutes. All in all - well run, one of the few hotels I would recommend without any hesitation at all. Pricing is good and yes, if we ever are in the vicinity again, we will certainly return.

Friendly staff, good, tradional German food, comfortable room, what else does one need? Will come again if visiting the town. Just wifi connections should be improved to be used in rooms too, now it worked only downstairs.
