We booked this hotel as a stop-over on our way to Austria. Big and clean rooms. Friendly staff. Had a nice swim after hours in the car with our kids. Had dinner in the restaurant. Large portions, quick service. Would certainly consider staying again.

We stayed there a night on a way to Austria from Sweden. I would say it's a freindly, family hotel where it's also possible to stay with a dog! Good choice of dishes in restaurant. Nice breakfast, cosy and clean rooms. Very good choice if you need to have a rest after a day of driving!

We had intended to stay in Lindau, however we could not find a room for our required 3 nights. We spread the net further and, to be fair, there was no other to choose from. We were not disappointed, our room was large, clean and modern. Although very little English was spoken we communicated well with the staff. On our last night we ate from the A La Carte menu and the food was excellent. My only criticism is that the restaurant is closed on Monday so we had to drive to the next village and ate at the recommended restaurant there, which, again, was excellent.

My family of four stayed in this hotel for one night. We had intended ot stay in Lindau and check out the island and the lovely lake, but it was a long weekend and everything was booked out months in advance. Unfortunately for us we were hit with the double wammy when we got there; the weather was atrocious and the place was fogged in AND the island was closed due to a marathon that was taking place upon it. If we had known this in advance we probably would have avoided this area, though Wangen is a good alternative place to stay over Lindau, because it is very close by. We were accommodated in some rooms disconnected from the main hotel, although it was not far to walk to the main hotel for dinner etc, it was confusing as to where our room actually was, and no one walked us over to driectly show us, merely pointed us in the location. This probably would have sufficed, but the host, although friendly, did not have a strong grasp of English, so directions were not very clear. Our room, while big enough, only had two queen beds in it. It was certainly big enough to accommodate a pull out sofa bed for additional occupants. With tow lively children, this was a little unworkable. We have appreciated extra bedding provided by other establishments. The bedrooms themselves were bright and clean, and a free bottle of water was left for our enjoyment, which we appreciated. We ate in the restaurant which was lovely, with friendly and helpful waitresses. The provided breakfast was substantial and delicious. Overall, this hotel is inviting and well kept with friendly employees and hosts. Do not be put off by its busy road location, we didn't hear a peep, nor was it as busy as we had anticipated.
