Having traveled and living in Asia for the past 10 years it is always a bit shocking to coming back home to your own country. My personal lessons ...just lower or half your expectations and standards otherwise you are shocked about the service and the attitude of people working in some hotels. PROS: - very comfy bed - good Spa...

A really lovely hotel perfect for exploring the town and nearby villages. The warm pools and saunas were a wonderful treat given the cold, January temperatures. Our large room with a balcony had a lovely view of the Kocher River, which had frozen solid and was teaming with skaters and pedestrians alike. What a sight! The breakfast buffet had everything...

Lovely hotel overlooking the river in the picturesque town of Schwabischhall. The hotel is located just outside one of the historic gates to the town. As such, it is within easy walking distance of many shops and restaurants. The hotel has a great dining area and serves good dinner and breakfast. There is an indoor and outdoor pool, as well...

Being a near-native to Schwabisch Hall (deep family ties here and many months of childhood spent here) it was an interesting experience staying in a hotel instead of with family. This review will take into account the fact that this is Germany and not the U.S. where the ideas of customer service and value for the Dollar/Euro is very different....

We arrived 3 hours before check in and couldn't get a room as they weren't cleaned yet, but that was completely on us. They did give out a room that wasn't cleaned but mix ups happen. The "free wifi" advertised is actually only 1 hour of free WiFi so this was a bit deceptive in my opinion. Lunch on the...

Breakfast was included and it was really good. Lots of choices. Personnel was very good. Room size was good. It was clean but... NO air conditioning. It was very hot so we end up opening the windows which don't have any screens so mosquitoes and insects became part of the family too. If you want a room with AC they...

Hotel Hohenlohe is a modern, well equipped hotel with a friendly atmosphere and good location. It's not directly in the town centre, but is only a 5 minute walk away. The facilities are excellent (3 pools, exercise room, sauna, bar, restaurant) and the rooms are spacious and tidy. Not the cheapest hotel in the town, but has the most to...

This was our second stay at the Hotel Hohenlohe, and we loved it as much as the first time, 11 years before. We used online booking and made a mistake with regard to our arrival date, and once that was discovered, the desk staff fixed things for us, gave us a room right away, and honored the original rate. English...

I decided to try the Hohenlohe when the hotel where I usually stay in Shwäbisch Hall was fully booked. The building throughout was an enormous pastiche of bric-a-brac in relentlessly petit-bourgeois taste. One feels trapped in the 1970s without hope of making it to the 1980s. My room was small, plain, and quite noisy (the hotel is under construction). The...
