Very clean. My room was basic but the bed was super comfortable and very quiet. The staff were all incredibly helpful. Breakfast good. Better than your average German hotel. Parking right outside on a meter. Very convenient for the town.

Thank you for the wonderful review. This business has been in my family for the last 138 years and we are proud to have a staff that is as international as our clientele. It makes me very happy to know that you found us helpful. Likewise, we are happy that you enjoyed your breakfast. It has taken a lot of... More

We were there in October 2016 on a weekend getaway, as a couple. Our stay was very comfortable. The room was very well equipped and cozy. There were all the ammenities that one needs. Plus the bar downstairs was very nice with a variety of cocktails and a very knowledgeable bartender. We would recommend it to anyone who wants a... More

Thank you very much for your kind review. Of course, it is always gratifying to know our guests are happy. Federico is a great bartender and he puts his entire passion into every drink that he makes. Plus, it's always more fun to mix a cocktail for someone who enjoys it and knows what they are drinking. Please do come... More

We arrived last minute at the hotel, and asked for one person rooms. They were small, but on the other hand comfortable, clean. A good bed, a great pillow as they have only in Germany and Austria. And a very clean bathroom. Excellent. Parking overnight is free untill 09.00. Breakfast is good, a largw buffet with all kinds of delicious... More

This family-owned hotel has expanded over the generations into neighbouring old properties within the historic centre of Schwaebisch Hall. My room in the Schweicker house was large, modern, very well appointed with comfortable wide beds and a huge wet room, all decorated in good taste, crisp and clean. Whilst there was no internal transfer of sound from other rooms, the... More

Wow, what a nice review. I am sorry about the temperature. Of course, next time we can give you a bedroom facing the courtyard. Those don't have views to speak of, but they are very quiet. Likewise, we have aircon planned, though it is quite complicated in a 550 year-old listed building. One way or another, we will find a... More

This is our third visit and we'll be back. Christian Scholl could not have been more welcoming and accommodating helping us find and book somewhere to eat arriving that the awkward tim of late Sunday evening. Thank you for the kind review. We are always happy to have you as our guests and are most pleased that you choose to keep coming back. I wish I had put in the AC at the time of the remodel. Now it is a bit more complex, though we intend to tackle it. Hopefully by the time of your... More

This was a two night stay in picturesque Schwabisch Hall about 200 km from Frankfurt in order to attend a wedding at nearby Schloss Langenberg. Service is friendly. The hotel is in a sliver of a building in the town centre with a fair amount of history. I would describe it as essentially a no frills establishment. Be warned the... More

Thank you for the kind review. The room that you stayed in is the smallest of 17 different room types. We do offer larger rooms (up the 32 square meters) with amenities that one would find in an Asian boutique hotel. Of course, the price is a bit different. Should you come back, and I hope you will, please note... More

This hotel is situated at the heart of Schwabisch Hall, beautiful old building in a beautiful town. The owners love modern style as it's modernized and fashionable decorated in the lobby, restaurant and room. The room (201) is clean and beds are good. Thank you for the terrific review. Actually the oldest building is about 550 years, but what's 50 years in such a long life? I am so happy that you appreciated the breakfast buffet. As a frequent visitor, experience leads me to low expectations of German lodgings, and I have certainly never felt the urge to write a travel review before. I must say that this boutique hotel in the oh-so-terribly-quaint town of Schwäbisch Hall is an exception. The structure is built up out of four half-timbered houses connected over the years. Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Hotel Scholl is located in the historic center of Schwäbisch Hall directly adjacent to St. Michael's church. The home of my family for the last 138 years, I am the third generation to manage this boutique hotel with a personal touch. We aim for a warm, comfortable, casual, and elegant atmosphere. Our hotel is made up of four historic houses, the eldest of which is more than 550 years old. These charming protected landmarks have been unified over the years into one hotel. Consequently, we certainly aren't a cookie-cutter modern hotel. No two of our rooms are alike. Being right in the center of town, paid city parking is available in front of the hotel on a first-come-first-served basis. There are 827 covered parking spaces in two city garages at five minutes walking distance. Of course, you can easily drop off you luggage, park the car, and enjoy a short walk through the town to the hotel. Once you're parked Schwäbisch Hall is easy to walk, and you likely won't need your car. We look forward to having you as our guest. Your host, Christian Scholl ... more   less
