We stayed one night in this Pension as part of a cycling holiday. We were not really impressed with the location being 3km outside the lovely town of Murnau. The last thing you want to do after a day's cycling is to head out again uphill into town for a look around. We arrived to a locked front door in...

Arrived after a 70km cycle in blistering heat. Didn't even get a chance to upset her, she was hostile from check in and it went down hill from there. Bad advice from the cycle company about availability of resturants (4 kms away) also contributed. It was such a shame because it was a well appointed room that was spotlessly clean...

Classic Gasthof in beautiful peaceful countryside just outside Murnau. The room was comfortable the evening meal on the terrace was wholesome and generous. The breakfast in the charming dining room was excellent. Our stay was one day/night.

Came stay here after a long day cycling in summer rain. Immaculately clean - you actually could eat off the floor and very, very friendly family run guest house. Food is good, place is comfortable and what you'd expect for what you're paying.

Pension St Leonhard is a traditional Bavarian guest house 1km east of the attractive market town of Murnau. The town - 70km south of Munich - is best known for its lake, Staffelsee.
