From the first sight, the hotel has nothing much to recommend itself: somewhat faceless, not very new, the decor is height of simplicity. But it is comfortable and clean. Rooms and bathrooms are spacious, there is enough of shelf space, beds, though rather narrow, are very comfortable. Views from most of the rooms are outstanding: either opening to Rhine river,...

This is a very old, outdated hotel (feels like youre in the 80s-90s), but still, amenities are just enough for a comfort stay. I stayed here for almost 3 week. Its not that close to the city (Bonn), but you'll find many attractions here to begin with. Sealife Aquarium is just outside the door, while there is a quite cute...

We stayed here on our Rhine cycle and I cannot recommend either this hotel or the town. I would suggest you stay on the other side of the river as the town looked much nicer there. The hotel is very dated and the corridors dingy. Staff not helpful. I checked before that we could securely leave the bikes in the...

First of all, i made a reservation on the website, comfort room 4/5 and parking. On arrival at the parking, I rang the bell, but it didn't even seem to be connected. So I went to the receptionist, and asked about the parking, but it was 'fully booked'. I guess they never have parking available. So I parked down the...

Great view from window, room was clean, they have feather pillows - I'm allergic, no alternate pillows available - was told I should have requested them beforehand, (they provided me with an extra pillowcase) Same with underground parking, they were all booked. For an extra fee you can park on the street or on a lot a few minutes away....

I was not expecting 5 star service in a small hotel in a little town but I was expecting some form of decent customer service. I made the horrible mistake of leaving my cell phone in the room after checking out. When I called about it later in the day my call went directly to the owner's cell (not the...

I booked up this hotel after browsing the internet and for some reason I got the impression this hotel was not located at the side of the Rhein. When we got to the hotel I was confused as it was bang on the side of the rhein and was called the Drachenfelshotel, I thought for a minute I had the...

I booked in here last minute (the night before arriving!) as I was wanting to base myself between Bonn and a smaller town in the Eifel region where I was visiting family. I had been travelling around Italy and just come from France and was completely taken aback by how friendly and lovely the hosts were at Rheinhotel! I arrived...

The Drachenfelshotel lies on the right bank of the Rhine River – southeast of Bonn – with an incomparable view of the Rhine and the Siebengebirge. The newly constructed SEA LIFE and the numerous ship landing places are adjacent to the hotel facility. On the one hand, Königswinter is an excellent starting point for relaxation and exploration of the spectacular surroundings. On the other hand, thanks to its central location and direct connection to public transportation, the Drachenfelshotel in Königswinter is an optimal site for a work-related stay. The accessibility to conferences, conventions, trade fairs and many important institutions such as the UN Campus, postal or telecom administrations is also easily possible via public transportation. ... more   less
