Staff: friendly and very concerned about your well being. Everybody tries to provide a familiar and cordial atmosphere. Breakfast: average standard with everything you need. Nothing special. Hotel: like most of the hotels in Cochem this building is cleary past its best days. The rooms are very old and the quality of the interior reminded me of a typical german... More

We had a good experience in this restaurant. We shared a very nice smoked salmon dish with horseradish cream. I had a very good pizza with a crispy base and just the right heat. My husband had a very good trout with almonds. Wine could have been colder and certainly should have been served in an ice bucket with ice... More

Lovely friendly hotel, hosts very welcoming. As soon as we arrived we were told about paying at reception for a parking ticket that would last the length of our stay. Which was for the multi storey car park about a 5 minute walk away. There is a few parking spaces outside the hotel but pot luck if one is available and... More

The only reason for which we stayed in this hotel was the parking lot we found in front of its door. The town was overcrowded by cars. The room was big, humid, dirty, Smelling, depressing. No elevator. The breakfast not German at all. The manager or owner (not German) was impolite towards my wife. I didn't see him. 80 €.

This hotel is right on the Mosel promenade so is very convenient as we came on the train & could walk to the station & to the restaurants at night. We stayed 2 days as a base for wine tasting & a train ride, then cruise from Traben Trabach back to Cochem along the Mosel. We enjoyed the decor of... More

I stayed at this hotel just after christmas 2013 and in June 2013, for both stays I found the owners very welcoming and friendly. We were in room 25 which is classed as a suite, it is bigger than the other rooms and has a small balcony, the shower doesn't look like it will be very good, but in fact... More

We came in very enthousiast because of a table with a beautifull view. When i told that it was so nice the waiter just sniffed at me. When we asked advise for a nice wine to go with the meal the answer was that they are all the same. Never realised that that answer was exactly true. Personal not friendly,... More

We booked for 2 nights, were told that we were being given Room 5. Parking was quite limited because of location of hotel being on the main road overlooking the river. Hotel owner led us across the road to a parking place, and took our case over to the hotel. Normally in Germany you are shown the available room or... More

We got room # 3 on the first floor and it was not only a rather large room but also had it's own little balcony from where two people could sit with a nice glass of Moselvine looking at the Mosel just 20 meters away - and what more could you ask for? Well, maybe that the grill in the... More

Three of us were touring through Germany on our motorbikes and on our first night we stopped in Cochem and happened to park outside the Union Hotel, so it was the obvious place to try. It looked nice from the outside and the location was great, overlooking the river. We enquired about three ensuite rooms and the very helpful lady... More
