Clean, comfortable rooms with view to Mosel River and town of Cochem. Attentive staff, lovely breakfast and dinner. Ping pong table, pool, game room, sauna downstairs. Small library off main lobby. Outdoor space for eating and drinking in good weather. We had an early train returning to Frankfurt. We were told a takeaway breakfast would be prepared and left for... More

We spent 3 glorious days and nights at the Weissmuhle in June. Short ride (10 minutes) from the train station to the hotel. The hotel is about 3 km from town, so peaceful, great to ride bicycles back and forth and perfect in surroundings. The hotel is situated between 3 tall ridge lines that are forested and beautiful. The check-in... More

A little way out of town, very much a forest retreat rather than a Mosel experience, single room, good size, good bed, good price, decor a bit 80s, and unfortunately the smoking receptionists fags tainted areas such as the stairs and reception area. However the food was awesome, Eric very skilfully guided us through the menu and local wines list... More

The location of this hotel is very peaceful and secluded. The interior however is very dated and unwelcoming. Corridors smell of smoke. The worst part was the bed in the room. It was old and saggy with an unacceptably bad mattress. Reception was unapologetic on check-out. Wifi doesn't work. Breakfast, on the other hand, was very good, although the exact... More

This hotel is beautifully situated in a quiet valley away from the town centre, yet the town is easily walkable or there is a convenient bus service. Our room was pleasant with a balcony overlooking the restaurant and kitchen roofs. There was a fast-running stream adjacent to the hotel which was audible, although it didn't disturb us. Wi-fi is only... More

We usually like to stay in town, but this peaceful hotel just outside town turned out to be a good choice. It is in a scenic valley out in the country but only a 5-minute drive to town. The friendly front desk staff showed us on the map where to park in town, and we had no problems. We had... More

We stayed for 3 nights while touring in steam cars. Very quiet position just outside Cocham. We were going to eat in the town in the evenings but the food was so good in the hotel that we ate in every night. The room was a good size and comfortable and we did have a view.

This hotel is an absolute gem! Located on a stream a couple of km from the town, nestled into the forest. My room (a single) was clean, spacious, well-appointed, and quiet. It overlooked the stream with a view of a forested hill. No air-con, but even during a heat-wave (35C!) it was pleasant and the room never got over-hot. The... More
