We come here for a weekend every year as it is only two hours from Munich. This small Hotel is situated in a beautiful setting in a quiet valley not far from Lake Constance (Bodensee) and the town of Lindau. Best access is by car. It offers a personal service with very friendly hosts who give lots of advice for...

Great location, quiet and peaceful. Lovely nature trails and great service. Lovely rooms with a relaxing atmosphere about it. Homemade honey and jams are a plus. Recommend for family or romantic getaways.

We stayed at the Hotel Martinsmühle for three nights. Check-in and check-out were fast and uncomplicated. The hotel staff were very friendly. The room was a good size, and furnished in a cozy, Southern-German rural style. The bathroom was nice and bright, with a good shower. There was only one type of soap (doubling up as shampoo) in a wall-mounted...

We stayed for one night B&B on a stop over between Italy and the UK. Just what we required. Lovely tranquil setting, nice owners who appear to do all the cooking and front of house and all based on their family farm. Now they have a small animal farm for kids and are clearly very family friendly. The rooms were...

Totally justifies 5-Star Trip Advisor rating – Simple, clean, functional bedrooms and ensuites - Excellent breakfast selection - Limited menu for evening meal but good food and local wine at reasonable cost. However one word of warning, the tranquillity of this location can be disturbed by a multitude of whingeing toddlers and their hyperactive siblings – So if you are...

This hotel is so wonderful. In the countryside yet close to so much to do. Farm animals, rushing stream, hammock chairs on your balcony. The food was the best I had on our entire trip. The family is wonderful. This is truly a hidden jem!!

Short version: Our favorite stay during our tour of Germany, Austria, & Switzerland. If we'd had any flexibility in our schedule, we would have changed it to stay longer. Long version: Wow, where to start? Our first impression driving through the countryside and seeing the grounds was that this was a very quiet, charming, inviting getaway. The first person we...

My family stayed one night but in the morning didn't want to leave. My wife wanted to change our travel plans so that we could come back! My three children loved it, especially the animals and my daughter was delighted to find one of the house cats had three kittens in the rabbit hutch. We had dinner and breakfast and...

We just spent four nights at this very pretty farmhouse hotel. The house is large because it was once a working mill. The same family has owned the farm for generations, turning it into lodging in the 70s. The place is really charming and professionally run by a lovely family. Rooms are very nicely decorated, quiet, and have good beds...

Rave reviews on Trip Advisor for this hotel and justifiably so – Quiet location outside the bustle of Lindau in converted farmstead complete with menagerie of goats, rabbits, ducks, geese and pony next to a babbling brook. Comfortable bedrooms and breakfast room in main building, “library” and holiday flat in barn and modern glazed link in between with reception, sunny...
