If you are looking for a 1960s or 1970s experience come here, otherwise dont. Weird oldstyle hotel, very poor short bed, strange policy of locking front door early evening, dark atmosphere... I think for a horror movie would be just ok:-) I personally hate carpets on the floor - in hotels should be forbidden. Anyway to be pretty honest the... More

I stayed here in late Spring, so there were not many guests in the hotel (in Andermatt as a whole actually). OK, the room I stayed in was not the newest and the sink was in the bedroom and not in the small bathroom which in my opinion is not ideal. And also reception area is not the most modern.... More

Great location. Literally right across the street from the Gemstock tram. Wonderful staff. Comfortable bed. Nice tv. Wifi. Excellent restaurant. Nice patio area for apres ski. We had a wonderful stay. Would stay there again.

The place was nice. Staff were very friendly. Very close to the gondola, great location. The wifi needs improving, because the signal is weak in most area except for the restaurant. Other than wifi issue, Hotel Aurora was very good.

As a restaurant guests, my borther and me, went to there for lunch on 03.04.14. After ordering our food, and wanting to check our emails, we politely asked for the password for the wifi. The staff politely answered that this service is for hotel guests only and not for restaurant's guest. Such a bad attitude is mean and not Customer... More

Stayed here in August for a night. The rooms are basic but they're clean and cosy. I've paid much more for hotels in Switzerland during our August trip and they were unclean and awful, but Hotel Aurora was the opposite of that. The staff here keep to themselves and are very generous (they filled up our flasks with fresh coffee... More

Stayed here one night last week. It was warm, cozy and absolutely fine, and certainly a great position if you want to ski the Gemsstock. Full of hearty Swedes on my visit looking like they were all going off freeriding. Dinner was very pleasant and breakfast the next morning quite adequate. Didn't see much of the staff, but from what... More

Apart from the prices I thought the hotel was fine. The shower was hot, the room amply spacious, the bed comfortable. The internet facility wasn't available during my stay which was a bummer but my bike stayed in the spacious boot room which was a step up from the storage I've had in a lot of places that claim to... Took advantage of a three night half board package and were really impressed with the location, room, facilities and attentive & friendly staff. A lovely room looking up the valley towards Hospental. Our bike was stored in the hotel garage and there's a petrol pump right outside. Both breakfast and evening meal were excellent and as mentioned previously all the... More

I have not actually ever stayed in hotel Aurora, but had a very bad experience when trying to book a room from there. To bring the story in short: Andermatt tourist office sent email to all hotels in town behalf of us, asking for accommodation. Hotel Aurora replied straight to me offering a double room with price of 100 CHF... More
