We stayed in a three-stars part of the hotel and I have no complaints - the room was roomy, there was TV, bathroom and amenities were great (except for the soap/shampoo/conditioner all in one bottle mounted on the walls!).
Breakfast was so-so, nothing to write...More
During Cross Country skiing classes in early December we were staying at this very comfortable hotel in the heart of Pontresina. Very friendly and considered staff, everything clean and simply good made the stay at this place a very pleasnt one.

You mention skiing. We went in late September early October so we really don't know about winter activities. Lots of walking at that time. We had a double valley view room in the Residence part of the building along an interior covered corridor from reception. Our room was very comfortable, good balcony and reclining loungers with pads. We used the pool and jacuzzi so can't comment on anything else. The food was very good and the staff very friendly and helpful. We are booked again for the same time this year. Very relaxing. The hotel gives you a small backpack to borrow and there are also umbrellas and trekking poles to borrow as well. Bus to train station and other areas very close to hotel.
