We stayed here during our Haute Route Trek from Chamonix to Zermatt and had a great time. The dorms are very neat and well maintained. The food was really tasty and the service was great. The hot showers at that altitude was just too good. They are chargeable but well worth it after the climb.

We went there 3 times for lunch this past week. First off — the spot, the scenery is breathtaking. You are away from, and literally above, the hubbub of the pistes. And all around you it's just a grand panorama of the Mont Fort, Mont Blanc and all. The food is ok. There are some great little blueberry, raspberry pies....

An absolutely stunning location perched on a small plateau halfway down from the Col de Gentianes, overlooking the valley below (and cloud-willing, Mont Blanc in the distance). Will always head for the place when I'm in the area - this time round, we had a cheese fondue between two of us - a huge bowl of it and extremely tasty...

A great little find. Different and authentic from many of the other mountain restaurants which seem to be owned by the lift company. You order from one hatch and they call out to you when ready. Good but simple food. Busy but a great view. Worth the treck up the path from the piste.

As cabins go we thought this place was great because 1) You can get your own private room even for only 2 people - they did this without us asking which was great and very much appreciated 2) Its full of character where you sit in the evening 3) The guy who runs it is very friendly despite seeming to...

Exactly what is says in the box. This is a mountain cabin and not a hotel, if you are expecting hotel facilities they you will be disappointed. The rooms sleep 4 in bunk beds and our room was clean and tidy. The showers are expensive at 5 francs for 2 minutes, but after a full day of walking they are...

Only place to stay in the area, so it is used up to end. for my opinion - 5Euro for 2 min shower this is impudence! about the rooms - everything is standard: simple dorms rooms (clean) Another plus - great view

Room did not seem clean. The smell reminded me of my brothers' room (think dirty clothes and old gym bag). I think the sheet was clean but the blankets were probably not washed all that often. There were no private bathrooms, but the shared one was clean (no mold). Water was nice and hot - which was great since it...

This cabin is great. Facilities (showers, sinks) are convenient and clean, beds are clean as well. The lounge to eat looks a lot like an inn, very charming and cozy atmosphere. The owner is hilarious, peculiar and helpful at the same time. It's actually the best cabin we've stayed at, out of Prafleuri and Moiry.

Doesn't get much more authentic than the striped shutters and the Swiss flag flapping over the terrace perched above the slopes. The outdoor terrace serves hot drinks and crepes. Perfect place for a bit of sun and a break from the slopes. Absolutely breathtaking. Note for skiers: the venue is perched on a small hilltop above the main ski run....
