As a maid of honor I was there with a wedding party of 16 adults and one child for dinner. The staff absolutely went out of their way to provide an unforgettable experience. They respected every wish we had. As I did a presentation, I could use their equipment and they invited me the day before to make sure everything works and really took time for me. The food was delicious. And the location beautiful, we had the glas dome to ourselves which could be opened or closed as convenient. The view over the lake and the beautiful decoration created an amazing ambiance.
I can only recommend this hotel if you plan a memorable celebration.

Nice hotel, clean, good breakfast with decent selection. View of the lake/mountais from the balcony was great.
Evening staff weren’t in a mood, didn’t even say thank you or all done once we spoke and just moved on to next customer. Morning team was much better.
Parking available for 15 francs per day.
Not much to do around the hotel, but passing by and spending one night was enough, as everything else involves car/bis/ferry and quite some time.
Restaurants around are mostly hotel owned, so on a pricier side, but you get what you pay for!
Lucerne is half hour away, so bear that in mind (looks closer on the map).
Note: hotel/villa is being built next door, so works started before 7am, so if you’re thinking of longer sleep, it will be difficult until work is complete.
No air con which means balcony doors are open (you can use a fan).
Also, all sockets are swiss type, so no european/uk will fit (asked for adapter at reception, but one is not enough these days).
Overall- good hotel, quiet area to chill and relax and do nothing.

Food and Service was amazing, i would try the duck breast it was to die for it, melts in your mouth every bite you take. Staff were so lovely and attentive and the cook * Gianny * came over just to say hello and explain to us about hes recipe with tradition from romanian history hunters. This is the hidden gem of Weggis .would definitely recommend and coming back to Post Hotel for ambiance, view of the lake, service and like we say for FOOD !!!

Our chf400 booking in this “4 star hotel” bought us this nightmare:

We could not sleep at all because there was no air conditioning in the room not even an air vent in this room so we had to sleep with the door open right next to a back alley of loud bar.

Throughout the night we lay awake due to the smashing of empty bottles into the trash, loudly speaking barmaids and hospitality staff taking smoke breaks and throwing out trash.

Between this noise there was also a church, 10 meters from our near ground level wall facing balcony that rung its bell every 15 minutes loudly right through the night. Yes right through the night 10 meters from our open balcony door.

Oh and btw, our view: a wall. 2 meters from our balcony, this was described as the “city view”

So we lay awake in a baking hot room listening to the church bells blaring and people talking and shouting down at the bar below through the night.

The bath had no plug, so we couldn’t bath.

The shower leaked all over the bathroom floor, so if you had a 5 minute shower the bathroom floor was under water.

The tv had no remote so we couldn’t watch tv at all.

There was no bottle opener in the room so we couldn’t drink from the mini bar.

There was no tea or kettle in the room

This is literally a hotel from hell. I have stayed in better hostels!

I will strongly urge the star rating agency of switzerland to reduce to at maximum 3 stars!

Avoid at all costs.

After 3 hours driving we turned up to see that our lake view with breakfast had been turned into a Mountain View next to an hourly church bell with no breakfast. We were advised not to sleep with a window open as it gets loud. We explained that this it not what we booked and we were told this was unfortunate, but there was nothing that could be done. We asked for a refund and are driving 3 hours back. Shocking service! There are plenty of nice looking hotels around, I’d advise trying those.

The staff were very friendly and helpful.
As stated before because of no A/C the room was very hot . Had to sleep with window open and the street was very noisy .
Location of hotel and view from room- excellent!
Restaurants no better or worse that on most holidays . Pretty basic fayre
All told we had a lovely stay- I found a lovely quiet place to swim ( little garden) up the street past Beau Rivage ) steps etc so suitable for all ages . Lake beautiful temperature for swimming

It was my 1st day stay in Switzerland. Stayed here with by wife and 2 kids for 2 nights. Old heritage Hotel but very well maintained and updated. Neat and Clean Room with all modern amenities and fantastic view of massive and beautiful Lake across the road. Washrooms were neat and tidy. Supportive Staff which took care of us. Breakfast was fresh and refreshing. Right behind the Hotel there is an old Church (Pfarrkirche St. Maria Weggis) from which regular hourly bells keeps you enchanting. Took day Cruize to Lucerne and back to Weggis. Boarding Cruise is quite convenient as it starts from right across the Hotel.

The room was very clean and spacious, we had a great view over lake Lucerne. Enjoyed the spa, had a relaxing evening at the pool and saunas and a late dinner in the glass house just outside the hotel. Would love to come here again when I will visit Lucerne.

Definately not a 4-star...

Staff is nice, but no prepared.

Breakfast has poor quality (old bread, 1 fresh fruit, not quality food)... and the room was veeeery unconfortable! The bed was too soft and old. The rooms smelled... not very clean and very noisy.

The hotel seems to be bad administrated. Other guests complaining about the quality of rooms and breakfast. Staff hardly speak any German. Isolation of the rooms are horible.

You can hear EVERYTHING outside... and other rooms. Do not stay here!
