It has been weeks since we left the exquisite Auberge Du Raisin, and I still think about our magical visit, wishing I were still there. Our large, beautiful room and bathroom were so comfortable and well-appointed. The amount of space we had is unusual in Europe. The housekeepers kept everything so clean and the hotel itself is decorated beautifully. What really made our experience stand out was the incredible help of Ilenia during our week-long stay. Whatever we needed, she was there to help us. Nothing was too much to ask and she was always warm, caring, and generous. We also appreciated Jean-Luis, the restaurant manager, who was also so kind, generous and helpful towards us. We grew to love both of these special people who helped to make our stay so meaningful. The town of Cully is a feast for the eyes, with some great restaurants and lovely places to explore. The hotel is very close to the train so you can visit a nearby city if you have the urge. If you rent a car, know that there is a charge to park during the day (not at night) and finding parking can be a challenge. This is not just Cully but also other places we visited in Switzerland. Finally, if you are arriving at the hotel on a Sunday or Monday, make sure you ask beforehand where you will need to check in, as the hotel is closed on those days. We made some friends in Lausanne, who invited us to stay at their home in the future. I thanked them but said we will ONLY stay at Auberge Du Raisin. That's our home.

Divine! Loved our huge top floor suite under the rafters. Clean and romantic looking out the window over the rooftops of the village. We were in room #36 Syrah. Warm welcome. Internet connections were extremely unreliable and sweet receptionists were constantly assisting us. There is no designated parking for the hotel so you may need to get creative. We did not eat in the Auberge restaurant so can’t comment on that, but do encourage you to book dinner reservations wherever you choose as the restaurants we visited were very full. The hotel is within easy walking distance of any place in the village. Train station took us for a day trip to Lausanne. We also hiked to the neighboring wine village of Epesses. A fantastic stay on the lake!

I have stayed in this hotel on a number of occasions. On my most recent visit, I was accommodated in one of the suites. The room was large and luxurious as was the bathroom. I highly recommend the Hotel Auberge de Raisin as it is an exquisite example of a five star small Swiss family-run hotel.

At Auberge du Raisin, you will find great traditional food with a special roasted card: I advise you sitting next to the fire! Their card has a good range of choices, not too many but enough and they have home made sorbets and ice creams which are greatly tasty! Service is traditional too and some are speaking english, which can be quite practical:)

After our last stay I gave my review th heading "We will return" .. and we did, with our Australian friends and we had a wonderful time ..somewhere along the lake there is a hotel that promotes itself by saying "you can come and write your memoires here". Well, I recommend Le Raisin if you want to write your memoires. It is an inspirational place. We had lovely rooms on the attic floor (mind the beams) and enjoyed the self service breakfast .. unfortunately we did not get around to having dinner. And I repeat: we will return! Parking is limited!

Needed a place on the go after moving and called late. The reception was great all smiles and they kept the restaurant open for a relatively late diner ( I asked). Then they took car of the car for me ! Great service. It’s in an old village house prominently placed in town. Modern facilities ( elevator, if you want to use the stairs it has this nice squeecky sound if wooden steps) an nicely decorated rooms. Great bathroom as well and comfy beds. Each room has a Vine name ( merlot etc..) nice touch for this in the middle of the wine region hotel. Nice breakfast. Then you can take a walk along the lake and admire the vineyards. ( I recommend the restaurant)

I have stayed in this hotel before and will definitely stay and dine here again. A wonderful establishment. The historic establishment has everything that you would expect from a small (ten bedrooms) non-chain hotel located in a Swiss lakeside village. My spacious bedroom and on suite bathroom, was excellent. Cully is in the centre of the Lavaux wine area. The hotel is about five minutes’ downhill easy walk from the station. Trains run every half an hour to Lausanne and Montreux. The hotel building is hundreds of years old, it is in tip-top condition and has the impression of cleanliness and regular improvements and investing in its upkeep. The restaurant was also good. Evening time can be busy, so make a reservation. It has good public spaces including an outside terrace. The village of Cully is worth exploring and is full of Swiss charm.

We had a mixed stay. On the face of it, the room was comfortable with a reasonable bed and bedding plus excellent quality towels, toiletries and robes. We even had two bathrooms. Unfortunately we had a terrible night as there was a building outside the window covered in plastic, to cover scaffolding. That night, the wind got up and there was a gale blowing. Nearly all night we were kept awake by the plastic flapping about. We complained and the receptionist handled it very well and reduced our room price. She also was very apologetic. We had quite a nice breakfast. Bizarrely the chef didn't cook the scrambled eggs until after 9.00 by which time, we had eaten. If it hadn't been for the noise, i am sure we would have had a better night. It was certainly quiet apart from that. All seemed pretty clean and tidy. We ate at the restaurant which seemed to have a good reputation but was also extremely expensive.

Responded Dec 27, 2018
Dear Madam, dear Sir, Thank you very much for taking the time to share your last experience with us. We are glad to know you enjoyed the quality of your room, amenities and breakfast. Further to your comment, we immediately took action in order to hold the plastic. We are glad to let you know that this renovation work is now over. We thank you also for your comment on the scrambled eggs. We have changed this. From now on, please let us know on the night before if you would like scrambled eggs before 9AM and we will prepare them for you. As for the prices at our restaurant, we understand Switzerland is expensive compared to most of Europe, but our prices are very decent for Swiss standards. We hope to have the pleasure to welcome you back one day. In the meantime, please do not hesitate to let us know if we can assist you in any way. Warm regards, Linh Front Office Manager info@aubergeduraisin.ch
