A great place in the middle of nowhere! Complete facilities: wi-fi, toiletries, shared kitchen, clean rooms and bathrooms, stable electricity, parking space etc. They accept cards for payment and a cafe/bar is located nearby.

We had the family room which can sleep 6 pax. It has everuthing to have a comfortable night as we drove all the way from Te Anau. The setting was just right but rather quiet as this was a far away place for a break. The premises is well maintained by just the operator and I wonder how he can...

Wilderness Accommodation & Backpackers is a great hostel, we loved the big kitchen and the even bigger patio perfect to unwind during the rainy days. Our host Ollie was super friendly and share loads of advices on what to do and explore in the area. We really loved our stay! Thanks again!

The first thing I thought when I got to Haast is, why do people stay here? There is absolutely nothin except for accomodation and some restaurants and small stores. But the truth is, it is the ony thing inbetween Fox and Wanaka where you can stay if you don't want to drive for a few more hours. Plus there is...

A friend and I took a six week road trip of NZ and wanted to stay a night in haast.. This place was perfect.. Ollie the owner was brilliant in service and knowledge and we enjoyed chatting to him in regards to the locals and surrounding areas.. The room was satisfying with its twin beds and ensuite and a door...

Stayed here for one night but for the quality of the room the rate was dear... The dude in the reception was however a really nice bloke. But not really too much value for the money here although the place was neat and tidy. No breakfast and tv was not really functioning.

We felt the hostel side was good value for the money spent. Our room was clean and comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed and was relatively well maintained. The selling point is the lovely atrium that serves as the common area. However, the manger has quite a few rules and likes things done a certain way. I agree with...

Stayed at Wilderness Motel/Backpackers last night. Couldn't fault it. Stayed in the motel side and had a large double room with ensuite. Clean, excellent well equipped kitchen close by. Big TV in the room and a rec room with a shed load of dvds to watch for free. Owner was a gentleman. Will definitely stay again on our next trip....

With there being not too much to choose from near Haast Pass this was a decent stay for a night. Fairly clean rooms and bathrooms. We had a private room and bath. The owner likes to talk and was very nice. No phone serves on the mountain. Wifi you had to pay for but it was cheep.

The host is welcoming. He showed me the room before I paid. 店家蛮热情。带我去看了房间才付钱。 The building has two sides (Backpacker and Motel). My room on the motel side is nice, quiet and clean. Got everything I need. 建筑分两边,左边是背包客栈,右边是汽车旅馆,有利于分开人群。我的房间安静干净整洁,应有尽有。 Market/cafe are steps away. 市场餐厅都很近。 The Wifi is not free. But it is pretty cheap ($5 for 1GB; there are cheaper or other...
